Does Mumsnet have a clear anti-bullying policy? Where is it, what is it?

I've looked on guidelines but apart from stating no personal attacks there really isn't much.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 01/07/2012 15:51

I see what people are saying about the money thing but if it's that thread done comments did get rather personal. I felt sorry for the poster.

A lot of these problems would disappear if they just got rid of the appeal, tbh. I think it's moved too far from what it was supposed to be, and has turned into a magnet for a well-spun hard luck story

Really?

I think its a nice idea, I nominated someone who I thought deserved something nice, not because I'd got the impression she was hard up.

I haven't read the thread in question though, but I don't think there is anything wrong with having a moan about money, no one has to read it do they? I certainly wouldn't think they were 'begging' or hint dropping.

LeB0F · 01/07/2012 16:07

Oh, it happens, Amber, it definitely does.

nannyof3 · 01/07/2012 16:20

I think some people on mumsnet are very rude!

LeB0F · 01/07/2012 16:21

I know nanny, isn't it shocking? Perhaps you should post somewhere else if it offends you?

Broccoli woman was Mrsxstich/Hercubasdaughter and whatever other guises she has posted under. Same person as can't take her child out of the county (not country) because her XILS will have her arrested. Apparently.

nannyof3 · 01/07/2012 17:11

See!!!!!!!!!

AmberLeaf · 01/07/2012 17:15

LeBof
What like people pretending they are skint/making up a sob story, or people genuinely skint and making it known?

I know there are liars on here as I've spotted some myself, think I am just hoping secret santa hasn't been tainted by that kind of thing.

LeB0F · 01/07/2012 18:40

Bit of both, I think, Amber. There's something distasteful, to me, anyway, about the 'squeaky wheel' aspect of it all. There are some posters who seem to moan an awful lot about money (or other personal situations), and they are inevitably at the forefront of posters' minds when it comes to acts of generosity etc. It seems a bit rum actually that most people are un

Agree 100% with lebof.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 01/07/2012 19:32

Agree with LeBof, as usual.

Most nornal people are dignifiedly quiet about the really crap stuff. It pays to be circumspect when posting. Unless you enjoy your arse being bitted. And that's a very general statement - no one specific in mind.

But will be fumescent if you're posting and driving.
