Ok, that's enough now MNHQ

Stop it with the mad deleting.

Yep Honey. You inferred that they couldn't be bothered to explain wanted us to bugger off. They implied it.

I can't help it. It's like a disease. You should see me on less vs fewer. Grin

BarbaraWoodlousaraptor · 29/05/2012 13:30

Was that to me TheRubarb Shock

ChuckUFarlasaurus · 29/05/2012 13:32

So fed up with having the 'guidelines' linked for us. We know them. But we're being deleted for having an opinion. I tend to find that discussions without opinions are a tad shit.... bit like this place atm

nethunsreject · 29/05/2012 13:33
Grin
Hullygully · 29/05/2012 13:35

There is no point in linking to the guidelines.

We know them.

The point is that the deletions are much more prevalent and we want to know why.

Do MNet HQ have some new staff? Sometimes newbies can be overzealous when applying rules.

Disclaimer: RedDaisy is naming no names and pointing no fingers.

Pan · 29/05/2012 13:36

Barbara - I brought a step ladder and a black spray can into my local Tesco. When I finished the sign at express checkout read "10 Items or less fewer".
The store manager was all Shock. I said "No need to thank me."

bibbitybobbitybunny · 29/05/2012 13:36

Mumsnet is just fucking dire atm.

Good day to you all.

tethersend · 29/05/2012 13:38

I don't believe any of you.

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 13:38

And I defended you MNHQ the other day when it was suggested you wanted to vanilla the site.

I said it was a tad conspiracy theorist.

Now I wonder.

I don't like being censored either and this is what it feels like. I am a grown woman, I am responsible for what I say and I take full responsibility for that. Some deletions actually make it look like I've said something awful when I haven't, I've just used vulgar words to illustrate how annoyed I am at someone.

I can handle that MNHQ and I am capable of defending myself and my opinions so please give me the courtesy and freedom to express those opinions in ways I see fit. (Obviously without resorting to personal insults unless they started it first Grin)

And when we state facts about a poster for the benefit of others on the post, or just to question them so we can have an explanation, please allow us to do this. Again we are all adults and if someone starts a thread under a different username or has provided different information than previously, we should be allowed to point that out without being deleted.

The deletions are becoming more offensive than the posts themselves.

You startin' Barbarawoodlousefuckityfuck?

Pan · 29/05/2012 13:40

I think you do believe all of us, tethers.

ShowOfHands · 29/05/2012 13:40

Can we speak to Helen please? I like Helen.

I was deleted for the first time recently. For telling the truth. It's the beginning of the end I tells ya. And that thing which posts in the middle of the night being sexual and unnecessary is allowed to do as it pleases for long hours at a time. I'm miffed.

jaquelinehyde · 29/05/2012 13:43

Some times I feel like telling some MNHQ staff to fuckety the fuck off with their patronising posts, but I don't because that would be breaking the talk guidlines and would get me deleted. Grin

tethersend · 29/05/2012 13:43

You're right, Pan.

It's myself I don't trust.

tethersend · 29/05/2012 13:44

Arf at 'I defended you' Grin

get0rfm0iland · 29/05/2012 13:44

See Hully I bloody TOLD YOU

They would rather have x amount of trolly fuckers than us old fussy bastards expressing doubt.

get0rfm0iland · 29/05/2012 13:45

MNHQ hates us
We don't fucking care

etc

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 29/05/2012 13:45

Or Olivia, Showy? One of the attractions of MN is the light touch. Or was.

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 13:46

You did gerrof you did.

There's a lovely old poo one going great guns at the mo.

OP posts:
tethersend · 29/05/2012 13:46

Did I mention that I got deleted for saying someone's point shone like a burning cross on a lawn?

I think I did. About fifty times. I'm still baffled.

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 13:47

Ooo let's have this thread as a petition for the Old Ways.

Add your name if you no like the March of the Vanilla Po.

Hully
Gerrof
Tethers
Empress
Showy
Jacqueline
Rhubs
Bibbity

get0rfm0iland · 29/05/2012 13:47

And to repeat a very dull post which I have probably posted on loads of threads in recent weeks.

There is an inherent contradiction in leaving disablist/racist/sexist shite up as it is hoped that the MN massive can 'educate' the errant poster (aka self-moderation), but the mass deletion of any posts which express slight doubt about the veracity of another poster.

get0rfm0iland · 29/05/2012 13:48

Tin FOIL hats

Not tin hats

I am not advocating that we go over the top in manner of Somme and go for the huns

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 13:50

Should we have a new petition thread?
