What about threads that set out to target regular posters? There was one recently which was very, VERY fucking obvious who the OP was having a go at and that was allowed to stand in the spirit of free speech - if I'd posted on that thread "Get fucked you rancid old BITCH" then I would have been deleted.

Anyway, I'm sticking to my own thread and not really bothering too much with much else lately, so I'm not sure I need adding to the petition - as I just think MNHQ will get the site they want anyway.

Hully - I actually agree, some people must have red flags against their names as you they seem to get deleted much more readily. Or perhaps they have anti-fans who sit there waiting for them to post so they can complain.

Perhaps name change and see what happens in a week? Worked for me.

We are responding to reports and reading through threads and removing posts as we have always done.

Someone please add me to the latest list - I noticed the rash of trigger-happy deleting started when a new name appeared at MNHQ but it might not have been down to her entirely.

Anyway.

I think we should have a Fuckers Board - where people can say what the hell they like and not get deleted (within legal limits, that is). So if someone is being an arrogant cunt not thinking of any one poster in particular, OH no you can call them that - and a liar - and still not get deleted. But no disablist/racist/sexist shite.

I think the "personal attacks" definition has been widened too far at the moment, one person's angry riposte is another's "personal attack" - too PC by far, sometimes.

There are plenty of posts that get left up which are trolling under the usual internet definition as opposed to the MNHQ definition (posting comments which they know will cause offense/start a fight) due to it being "educational"
