What you would like to see in MN Local?

We are redesigning Local and want to hear what you think. What would you like to see on there? How could we make it better?

The plans are to make it easier to navigate and make your local talk threads visible when you use the main talk boards. We will also be adding lots more listings. There will be all the existing stuff, toddler groups, afterschool classes etc, but we're thinking of expanding. Would you be more comfortable buying a car from other MNers than from a second hand car dealer, for example?

Let us know all your thoughts on function and content.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I thought of another thing. You have the Eastbourne and Hastings groups combined.

I'm wondering why you do this? I hardly spend any time in Hastings (too busy being a mum in Eastbourne!). It's not like they're together, like Brighton & Hove, or Hastings & St Leonards (which is what the Hastings Groups should be called). The two towns don't really have much to do with each other IME.

We've tried to organise meetups with people from both towns and so far, no success!

Perhaps others like it like that? (But not as far as I know!).

Also when you combine two towns, I reckon you should list it under both names. At the moment, this example is only listed under "Hastings / Eastbourne". Most people wouldn't expect to find Eastbourne under H! If you're not going to split the groups, it should also be listed under "Eastbourne / Hastings" as well, as there must be Eastbourne people who have a look and just think there isn't a group from them.
