are we allowed to carry on discussing this?

OP posts:

"If a child is on a final warning for pushing kids on the playground, then is rude to a teacher - is it OK to punish them as if they have pushed another child in the playground or do you punish them like any other child that had been rude to the teacher? IMO that is the question."

Yes, Chipping (was it?). I would punish that child for their behaviour in general, as I don't say to my children, "If you hit your sister again you will be going without supper" but then ignore if he drew on the wall.

Bad behaviour is bad behaviour. I don't have specific punishments for specific actions. If he is naughty, he gets locked in the cellar.

Reminds me of saying to him, "If I see you hitting your sister one more time, there will be serious consequences" and him replying, "and if you don't see me hit her?".

What I hated Hully was a whole little gang of people coming on specifically to hijack. Obviously that's different from the usual sort of meandering. I know I was humourless about it but it does piss me off a bit -- especially when it is oddly done in the name being polite and reasonable. There's plenty of gang threads to gang about on. I'm on one myself.

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 14:59

Ah. It isn't done specifically to hijack tho, it just arises and then subsides. Happens everywhere.

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 15:00

And they aren't a gang and don't have a gang thread. Just so we're clear!

CalatalieSisters · 09/11/2011 15:02

Yes, fine whaddeverGrin They annoyed me with their Inanity Flashmob, and I annoyed them by whinging about it. Even Stephens.Smile

MmeLindor. · 09/11/2011 15:03

:o at Inanity Flash Mob

I need to go and have a look at the other thread. Am being bad at keeping up with stuff like that atm. Too much other stuff going on.

Pinot · 09/11/2011 16:01

MsBrian · 09/11/2011 16:21

I've just spent all day giving advice to a bloody troll who said couldn't poo :(

Don't talk to me about ducks!

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 16:22

Foble · 09/11/2011 16:25

OrmIrian · 09/11/2011 16:26

I don't know why I'm asking this but ..

How was it discovered she was a troll, because she just wouldn't go to A&E?

I must admit, when I saw the title I thought, hello this will be a load of shit...

MsBrian · 09/11/2011 16:37

Who WAS that?

...actually - it it's a regular don't tell me, I'm not in mood for trolls right now

And no I really don't 'do' poo threads either for the fun of it, it was a serious medical problem (or so I thought). Glad to see that it may have helped someone.
