dear mn hq, please could something be done about the anti sn posts on mn

as I know you are aware(I have the emails) people from the sn community have left this week, due to the vile things that have been said to the/or about SN.
isn't it time that mn hq took some steps to eradicate this, as you do with trolls? surely disablist/anti sn/ personal attacks should be deleted and something done about the posters.
or do we just keep loosing well informed, SN educated people from mn.
(no I can't link to a thread as there has been too many)

I'm sorry Helen, I'm a little sceptical.

What is the MN definition of troll? Because, as far as I am aware, it is possible to post trolling comments without being a troll. (Which on MN the unofficial definition of a troll seems to be "someone pretending to be someone else")

Oh I get that they were personal attacks, but the person getting attacked is well deserving as they are being big huge twats. . I could understand if you deleted the ones making stupid bigotted comments about SN, but you're not.

I can't think properly to make proper posh long sentences that make more sense, but I had too much to drink last night and my head is fuzzy.

No, that's not right.
Glitter's thread is still being gone through, afaik - we would not leave a disablist post and delete a personal attack. Both should be deleted.

yes the troll attack on me is still there.
also although I started this thread mn hq have not once spoken to me...
they have deleted posts from people like Noddyholder who were only defending/supporting the sn community, yet left the troll posts there.

We define a troll here "someone who poses as someone else in order to stir up trouble, fulfil their own perverted agenda, or just for the hell of it"

Trolling is also someone posting deliberately to get a rise out of posters

I think that might be an issue: definition of troll. I would go with Emp's definition tbh as well.

I did mention on the otehr thread that this is not new; many will recall when MB and OH had to leave after widows were tagetted by some trolling. I suspect feminism is creepoing up as the new Snboard-to-troll.

Is it cyclical?

Is it possible, that there is someone new at the towers who has a slightly different interpretation of the guidelines to everyone else? Certainly tethers email and one I have received about posts left to stand after deletion seemed a little off..?? Not saying that is the case, but could be a possibility.

I admit I'd like a simple cause like that that can be easily rectified because I'm really struggling with some of the decisions made recently if not.

that post makes me think she has left? i could be wrong, but its how it read to me :(

and you are right tethersend, but god it makes for depressing reading and its like banging your head against a brick wall in trying to argue/reason with someone like that.
