as I know you are aware(I have the emails) people from the sn community have left this week, due to the vile things that have been said to the/or about SN.
isn't it time that mn hq took some steps to eradicate this, as you do with trolls? surely disablist/anti sn/ personal attacks should be deleted and something done about the posters.
or do we just keep loosing well informed, SN educated people from mn.
(no I can't link to a thread as there has been too many)

Out of me and HelenMN, one is incredibly conscientious, and the other is actually on duty.

I'll leave you to work out which is which...

thanks for the reply mn hq, I suppose this is the problem, for all we know you could be taking action and dealing with the trolls(I use that expresion, because it is politer than what I really call them) but it is never seen (for obvious reasons) so all we see is someone like spiderpig repeatedly causing harm, soe we can't help but think nothing is being done or changing.
hope that makes sense,

Understood but if you report the (suspected) trolls, you may find you no longer see them causing harm.

And even if you don't find that this happens the first time you report them, the more often you find and report examples of their trollish behaviour, the more likely it is that you'll find you no longer see them.

oh under my normal name , i seem to be like a bad smell when it comes to reporting, sometimes I feel like the class snitch.

You couldn't be more fragrant, Sevenfold... Wink

And, though, granted, we may not always agree with people's comments when they report posts, our aim is always to reply personally and gratefully (because we are grateful, truly). We do hope you know that.

Good to see that we've had a response from MNHQ. I can say with a clear conscience that Spiderpig8 is one of the most disruptive, vile and unpleasant posters I have ever had the misfortune of seeing on here, bar aa few who are now banned. And the posts across multiple subjects. I have no idea why he/she is still here tbh.

Not a personal attack, fact!

Sevenfold · 15/09/2011 11:45

Mouseface oh you know me, I have just name changed as threads like these were getting to me, the lack of action and allowing of vileness.

Mouseface · 15/09/2011 12:09

Ah, well maybe I won't pull your pigtails than Smile

I know what you mean about the vileness getting to you, it's hard to ignore.

'What Are Typical Hate Speech Targets?
Hate speech is typically directed towards another person or group on the grounds of race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, colour, ethnic origin and religion. Hate speech can be shown in many forms, typically verbal abuse, written speeches, harassment or gestures. The intention of hate speech is to harass and distress the intended target. In many cases the use of hate speech can incite violence from one group towards another.'

Good basis for a protocol
