My virus scanner keeps blocking threats from Mumsnet!

Not sure if this is the right place but my virus scanner (AVG) keeps blocking threats when I am on MN. Then it stops me from using the site until I close it & open it up again. The last one was a 'blackhole' something! Not sure what this is...anyone?

I had this yesterday - just the once though. It deffo was blocked by my AVG and was Black hole something too.

No idea what it is or anything so will be watching this thread.

Tonksforthememories · 05/09/2011 19:51

That happened to me too, but when i closed and reloaded the page everything was fine!

AVG here as well!

SuePurblybilt · 05/09/2011 19:52

I had this too yesterday (I did email you MN, honest I did), A Black Hole 1889 or something. Not much info on google so I don't know if it's an AVG hissyfit or an actual threat.
It was an AIBU thread that flagged it.

MangoMonster · 05/09/2011 19:54

Had this today. Is a little concerning.

ZhenXiang · 05/09/2011 19:55

Must be AVG, I have McAfee which is very good at picking up viruses and it hasn't ever registered a threat on Mumsnet.

Wormshuffler · 05/09/2011 19:56

Me too another black hole detected yesterday.

HarlotOTara · 05/09/2011 19:59

I have just had this as well, also yesterday

Tonksforthememories · 05/09/2011 20:15

Just happened again! Was on a chat thread i think, nothing sinister. Hmm

nannynick · 05/09/2011 20:21

I wonder if it's a particular advert. Keep an eye for what ads are on the page when you get the alert.

OliviaMumsnet · 05/09/2011 20:22

YIKES
sorry about this but yes, please do what nannynick said and then we can see what's what.
Cheers

Olivia, I emailed you the URL and the name of the reported virus yesterday, if it helps.
Emailed MNHQ, not you as such Smile

bebejones · 05/09/2011 20:40

I was just on the homepage after logging in when it did it this evening. If it does it again, I'll let you know. This was the 4th time in the last 3 days!

sue Phew at it not being in my personal mailbox - will have a look -thanks

SuePurblybilt · 05/09/2011 21:09

Grin. It was on top of an existing email about Tech's random photos so it's prolly my fault if it's got lost in the file marked Stalkers Who Won't Stop Emailing Us.

Just had the same virus message from AVG, was lurking on a thread on AIBU about school uniform not arriving. Having said that this is the second virus warning from them tonight, think they have done something in an update to cause this.

Wormshuffler · 06/09/2011 07:57

I just got it again, as soon as I logged on and clicked on threads I'm on.

ImeldaM · 06/09/2011 09:44

I only got it on home page, but ok when clicked into talk from google search, so am avoiding homepage, AVG too.

SuePurblybilt · 06/09/2011 13:38

I haven't had it since, until just now when I clicked on the Gransnet banner by mistake.
Do the Grans have a virus? Have they tried hot lemon and a mustard foot bath?

crumbletastic · 06/09/2011 15:11

I've just got the page blocked by avast. A trojan within a banner ad, but as it blocked the ad I can't tell you what caused it. This is what Avast says;

Infection Details
URL: best2banners.com/in.cgi?mumsnet
Process: file://C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
Infection: html:Framer-inf [Trj]

Hulababy · 06/09/2011 15:24

I had this a couple of times yesterday - AVG.

Pinot · 07/09/2011 09:34

Oh. No.

ElectricSoftParade · 07/09/2011 11:34

Just been told a Trojan Horse has been blocked .
