Unwelcome visitors - and recent "unpopular" threads

We thought you should know that we've had a few "visitors" lately who have, collectively, been hellbent on stirring up bunfights on the boards.

They're not your average hairy trucker/bored schoolboy/silly perve but a group from another (now defunct, it seems) forum.

They were behind the Unpopular Opinions thread - and a fair few other threads that have kicked off recently.

We're on the case.

But we would appreciate your help with "Hoovering" up any visitors our Ban button may have missed.

So do report any suspicions using the Report link, and we promise to check 'em out - though it make take us a while

marz IMO the posters that appear to 'agree' with the posts are usually a bit too & then a 'regular' appears to get caught up in it, sometimes agreeing, sometimes not but the posters all appear to be a bit nudge nudge wink wink in a fake kind of way. It seems like a little 'gang' has said, "lets infiltrate mumsnet, make some chums & then get them to argue with each other and question themselves"

Someone commented earlier SGB maybe, something like "what does it matter, its all just opinions", apologies if incorrect. I think it does matter because if people who use mumsnet regularly for advice, chat, a bit of fun, then when folk come along seemingly 'just' to poke fun and piss people off, then its not nothing.

ps not on anybodys list, I think, should join 'nobodys' or is it 'nobdies'? but thread is too damn long
