Unwelcome visitors - and recent "unpopular" threads

We thought you should know that we've had a few "visitors" lately who have, collectively, been hellbent on stirring up bunfights on the boards.

They're not your average hairy trucker/bored schoolboy/silly perve but a group from another (now defunct, it seems) forum.

They were behind the Unpopular Opinions thread - and a fair few other threads that have kicked off recently.

We're on the case.

But we would appreciate your help with "Hoovering" up any visitors our Ban button may have missed.

So do report any suspicions using the Report link, and we promise to check 'em out - though it make take us a while

I'm an ex nags poster a forum that incidentally has not been posted on by either myself or anyone else I know for around 2 years
I know of 2 possibly 3 ex nags posters that are registered on here so hardly an invasion! I also know that none of these posters have caused any problems with any other posters if anyone thinks they know differently would they please show me the posts

It seems some people are getting a little bit paranoid over nothing

We have the same problem ruby. Especially this time of year with the farmers digging up the fields.

Lucky, our garden is big enough for them to only get in via the cat

Not really. There is a post by MNHQ who have detailed that they have banned those who have been trolling.

No - not upduffed yet Abs, have just come out of hospital after having a laparoscopy for random abdominal pain, so not even thinking of ttc at the mo!

well you both seem to attribute any trouble on the forum to ex nags posters so I felt sure you would be able to tell us who they were

Someone who was also on the "nags head" forum gave me the heads up.
MNHQ have obviously investigated and reached the conclusion that it was correct.

No one has said that all members of that forum are here to cause trouble, but clearly a few were.

They go from forum to forum causing mayhem with a view to bringing the forum down. So threads about posters/ unpopular opinions etc would be common

I'm not really sure how mumsnet can be sure which forum/forums any individual poster used to be a member of

I have every need to be defensive when I see things posted that are utter tripe oh and I'm doubtful that your 'heads up' was given by any ex nags poster but most probably by one of the many lovely FHG posters

Well MNHQ don't ban people for nothing.

We have had people on here who are trolling for weeks but as MNHQ cannot confirm or deny their stories they let them stay and just warn everyone to be careful

so for them to ban them means they must have found some sort of evidence.

I know of one thread that's been mentioned and although I know it was posted on by a couple of ex nags posters they were'nt the main contributers to that thread and posted nothing nasty,yet seem to be being singled out as causing the downfall of the board lol
