Unwelcome visitors - and recent "unpopular" threads

We thought you should know that we've had a few "visitors" lately who have, collectively, been hellbent on stirring up bunfights on the boards.

They're not your average hairy trucker/bored schoolboy/silly perve but a group from another (now defunct, it seems) forum.

They were behind the Unpopular Opinions thread - and a fair few other threads that have kicked off recently.

We're on the case.

But we would appreciate your help with "Hoovering" up any visitors our Ban button may have missed.

So do report any suspicions using the Report link, and we promise to check 'em out - though it make take us a while

I singled penny out because she was one of the people who singled nags posters out I presume that's ok?

Man, how can people remember stuff from 8 years ago? I can't remember from 8 days ago, let alone 8 years.

I just did a search of my name and the words nags head.

the only thing that has come up is my C&P of your post. so no, i haven't been saying it is them.

I have given the information i just re posted.

there were posts that were seemingly innocent but deliberatly posed to cause arguments. things like "do you take people on face value" "who is your fave mumsnetter" "who cant' you stand" "unpopular opinions"

now they may have been totally innocent but when you are told these posters have "form" for starting similar threads just to cause trouble it does make you wonder.

Now when you then see that MNHQ have banned said posters, i think it is reasonable to assume you were right.

Thank you Libra. I genuinly can't see why 3emms feels so aggrieved. unless it was her pal that was banned.

Croissant - i think some people seemt o take things more personally.
I will argue debate with someone on a thread and might even get a bit riled. but by the next thread i have forgotten it all.

I respond to posts no posters if i can, that way i have no need to hold grudges and carry disputes across the boards.

i find it a little sad when people get so irrationally angry about something they read here it affects them in RL. or that they get so bitter about fellow posters they continue to badmouth them elsewhere

I just think they need other things to occupy them.

As for the bunker, I've been back in there and it's lovely and cosy and we're having biscuits later with our Bunker Hostess with the Mostest, and she's going to get us pictures of fluffy bunny rabbits to calm us all down, so ner [poking out tongue emoticon]

Agree penelope. It's why I left for a week (mostly) as I found I was getting so upset about stuff on here, and it was totally ridiculous. So I left the warm bosom of MN, though it seems to be sucking me back in.

what forum would that be? stop pretending you are getting info from a.n.other and own up that you really are seething about nags posters posting on here,they have caused no problems at all you are just looking for trouble where there isn't any

earlier on this thread the nags was mentioned by a penelopeperson as being where the trouble on this board was originating from apologies if that was not you but the other 'penelope' but you can see where the confusion came from so that penelope must have left the board overnight

if you search the other penelope further you will find that both she and her Dh are having serious medical treatments and that yes, she left "overnight"

Try and make it into whatever you like, MNHQ will, im sure happily verify tha we are not the same person if you report one of my posts.

I can only find one reason for your rather ridiculously aggressive posts and that that is it was one of your cronies that got banned.
