Has anyone here had a Britax verve? I have been offered one for £25, going away at weekend and thought this will be smaller than my maclaren but not read very good reviews!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/07/2009 13:49

No sorry.

horsemadgal · 27/07/2009 14:04

mustsleep, pics of bee n bjcm sent now. seems i'm too late though lol

mustsleep · 27/07/2009 14:35

I've had a verve had it for about 3 days and sold it on ebay the basket is teeny tiny only big enough to hold he raincover it comes with and thats before you use it when it's all folded flat lol

the recline may as well not be there it's that slight and it doesn;t really fold very small either although it is easy to fold

Oh and I didn't think that the seat was very big either compared to the zaps and the bumper bar was so tight to the seat you had to take it off every time dd wanted to get in and out

It was nice to push though

I didn;t really like it that much to be honest lol

But £25 is a bargain

Hi all - I came on to ask about a Britax Verve and see taht the answers are already here! There's one for sale local to me £30 ono inc footmuff and raincover (apparently left brake is broken tho).

Also there is a cosatto toronto for £25 inc footmuff

I need need NEED a cheap car buggy, but BabyG is a big lad remember, so no tiny seat will do! He's only 8 months, over 30lbs and very long (wearing 12-18 clothes, but will be in 18-24 within weeks).

I hope to buy my car pushchair and then not be changing again in future!

Any opinions ladies? claret when is your hol, I could buy your zap after

nicolamumof3 · 27/07/2009 16:38

claret1980 · 27/07/2009 17:43

MamaG of course you can buy it after my hols. Its a great car buggy, lack of recline but is you are only using it for quick trips, you will be fine.

my new black xt should arrive today

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/07/2009 08:30

Morning all.
Well after waiting in yesterday and having a freecycle collection and the Hauck Winnie stroller picked up, I am having to wait in again because the mattress didn't arrive. Dcs will drive me bomkers if we don't get out soon.
I have successfully managed not to buy a pushchair so far

nicolamumof3 · 28/07/2009 08:42

well done dunoon

we are having a day of catching up at home today with jobs, all wedding cards to come down, lots of housework and lots of toys to go in boxes for charity shop!

sun just about still out so going to hang my washing out and get boys washed/dressed.

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/07/2009 08:49

Yep washing backed up here and DD3 managed to take off her nappy last night so I have a wet duvet, duvet cover and sheet to wash first.
Better get dressed!

well my zia 4 came and it's good!!

the seat back is a lot better than the zia 3's and is hard opposed to a hammock style one, the recline is also better although not as flat as they make out

nicolamumof3 · 28/07/2009 12:30

much excitement here!

my boden AW boys stuff just arrived, and my black xt and liner! yummy!!

scattykatty · 28/07/2009 12:50

Oh you're so lucky Nic! Just looked for Vibes on ebay completed listings, someone bought a used 3 times one with BK and cocoon for £200! I feel sick with jealousy. Maybe my 3rd episode on Bones in a day will cheer me up...

nicolamumof3 · 28/07/2009 13:10

we are having a 'yard sale' tomorrow!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/07/2009 13:37

sweetkitty · 28/07/2009 15:25

nicola - very nice

scattykatty - poor you I would have loved a vibe as well

MamaG - BabyG is a big lad, B is a year and 19lbs, the seat of the Lunamix is quite big I think it looks bigger than a Mac although it's not umbrella fold but the fold is quite good on it. She despises anything that isn't bolt upright with a bumper bar.

Nothing happening on the pushchair front for me, still have the Lunamix, Infinity and XT. Wish I hadn't sold the pink Luna now as I should have kept the covers I loved them, maybe look for something on ebay
