MOULDY SEAT, HANDLES AND NO APRON

problem is ad statedthat handles were damaged but they are alot worse now since DHL have dragged it about, the handles were not covered at all

omg dis i cannot believe it what a nutter to send something like that? at least she should have black bagged??? omg i would send her all the pics and see what she says i'd be wanting refund towards new handles i expect they would be pricey ring maclaren tomorrow to find out.

she already said they were damaged in auction,

but if you look at pic they are much worse since beingn posted, but not sure paypal will recognise this because she already said they were damaged (but they are worse now)

Good grief, mouldy seats? Those handles are unbebelievable!!! I thought she said it was like new condition?? Mind you what do you expect for that price I supose?? Not even a bit of bubble wrap though and super strong rubble bags??

from her description it was like new ... and i could have paid alot more happily from that discription

its only cause it was pick up only i got it cheap

Pebbles you will love the Skate & the liner, the liner Lucy made me is just gorgeous on my Skate, so much more padded & cosy - really funked it up too

SK pretty sure Argos won't have them in again as the colourway is discontinued, they've brought out a new red/black which has a red liner instead of grey.

Dis I would open dispute but be prepared that PP will ask you to retund for full refund (minus cost to send back I think) as generally that's what they ask you to do, not always but a majority of the time.

I'd give the seller the choice,let her know you are going to open a dispute unless she refunds you £** so that you can replace the handles and maybe even the seat covers.

I would imagine she wouldn't want the hassle,and may prefer to refund you some money.

I read on here a solution for getting mould off seatcovers,and it worked.......

Shame, I recently sold my Double Maclaren and that really was in excellent condition.

A CM bought it,but only wanted a smaller twin to fit in her car,wasn't really bothered that it was in such good condition.

Maybe ask for the cost of the handles and P&P,and then round it up to cover cleaning materials,or seatcovers maybe?

I recieved the buggy today.

There a few things I'm a bit concerned about.

Firstly it wasn't packed up very well and all wheels and handles were poking out. I know from the auction that the foam handles had some scuffing and I accept that but because they were not covered at all they have been damaged alot during transit, the foam is very very ripped, sooo much more than on your photos. I have taken pictures of this.

Also the seats were mouldy, both of them, but one worse than the other. Again I have included photos of this.

The clip on the side of the buggy that holds it together is also bent.

Finally there is only one apron in with it, not 2 as stated in the auction. Im not doubting it was put in but because the pacaging was so poor I assume it fell out?

Obviously its a bit different to stated, the mouldy seats were not mentioned, nor the bent clip. Only 1 apron has arrived and the handles have been damaged in transit to a greater extent.

Obviously im a bit upset by this as it is not to the standard advertised,

i am going to have to pay to have it cleaned to remove mould and pay for replacement handles due to the extra damage because of poor packing.

I thought i would email you first and try and sort it out before involving paypal or ebay.

What do you think would be a good solution?

thats spot on dis, i'd want at least £30 back, depends on what maclaren quote for handles bet it will be more. you could have used it with the handles as they were but not like that. courier won't cover because of shoddy packaging im shocked they accepted it like that tbh?

i sold my maclaren twin which really was 'as new' for £75 or maybe it was £65? can't remember now, the lady was over the moon with it i remember packing that up took me ages (prob took her ages to unpack lol!)

those covers aren't maclaren tho, they are mothercare
