well im fine just really tired dont know whats up with me this week lol.

pebbles79 · 26/03/2009 08:53

I've had the week off work and yet I'm more tired than usual! Probably because I'm sitting up watching films more, lol!

Well, that's my Skate all paid for (had to wait till this morning for my wage to go into the bank!). I'm hoping that the seller might organise a courier for today then I may have it tomorrow - I can't wait, I love the new pram feeling. Ordered a raincover too since it didn't come with one but at £230 delivered I don't suppose I can complain

Morning all!! Does anyone live near Tamworth? Just bought myself something and seems not far from Birmingham where we flew from in Feb so have idea how much cost in diesel will be. Is there anywhere there good to see if we make a day of it??

nicolamumof3 · 26/03/2009 09:07

Carrielou we went to drayton manor last year at Tamworth its a theme park but has thomas land there, which tate adored ashe's a huge thomas fan!

BexieID · 26/03/2009 09:09

Tamworth is near Drayton Manor and Thomas land. I was plannning on stopping off there overnight sometime on my way to my mums!

BexieID · 26/03/2009 09:10

Tamworth itself has a castle and moathouse if you're into that.

BexieID · 26/03/2009 09:13

pebbles, will have to come and see your Skate!

pebbles79 · 26/03/2009 09:18

Yep, you should Bexie. I'll be in Dumbarton on Saturday afternoon but without children, lol! Going for lunch with my friend.

OP posts:
carrielou2007 · 26/03/2009 09:22

That sounds good, I'm just waiting to hear when I can collect, then could go there if dd has had to sit in the car for 2 hours. I rather like the sound of the castle but dd will prob prefer Drayton Manor.

BexieID · 26/03/2009 09:26

Where are you having lunch pebbles? I'll be working till 2 and then I might go see a friend arrive at the municipal building to get married before going to Morrisons, lol.

sweetkitty · 26/03/2009 09:38

Bexie and Pebbles - just realising you are fellow Scots as well

Pebbles - happy new Skate

Sal - I would probably just throw out a cot mattress, they are quite cheap and people usually want a new one

I'm tired too but that's because DD3 has a cold and was up about 5 times last night

pebbles79 · 26/03/2009 09:43

Not entirely sure yet, think we may just be going to her house and having a girly afternoon with food and a few cheeky bottles of wine! She's stays just up the road from Dalreoch station.

Where in Scotland are you sweetkitty?

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 26/03/2009 09:44

I'm the other side to you lot, Lanarkshire

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 09:47

Dex is 2.9, but still needs buggy on long walks.

I extended the seat and took footmuuf off (what a kerfuffle!) and its ok for him now, nearly touches hood, but it'll do until hes happy walking.

BexieID · 26/03/2009 09:53

I'm not a Scot! Neither is DP. He moved to Helensburgh when he was 7 as he dad was in the Navy. Me and DP met on-line nearly 10 years ago, I came up to visit, we holidayed abroad and the last holiday we came back with Tom, lol. Me and Tom moved to Scotland when he was 3 months ols, so 3 years in July. I got a transfer with Tesco.

sweetkitty · 26/03/2009 10:07

Bexie - so you love it here then lol We lived in Cambridge and then London for 8 years before coming back to Scotland when DD1 was 9 months, DH works in Edinburgh so we had to find somewhere close to the M8 but nearer to Glasgow as the closer you get to Edinburgh the dearer the houses get.
