5intheegg - it's the principle I know buying a pram you know was £65 for £100 though, I missed a delivery as well today 101 Dalmatians duvet cover for DD1

MrsMagooo · 31/03/2009 16:40

Shame not sure Pebbles I loved my Skate instantly & still in love with it now. I think it's probably yet another marmite one.

nappyaddict · 31/03/2009 16:42

SK if you get a zia go for a zia 4. A friend has the zia 3 and she finds it veers all over the place.

FlyMeToDunoon · 31/03/2009 16:46

Afternoon all.
Pebbles sorry to hear about your aunt.

I missed a recorded deliver today. It could be an ebay thing although they didn't say they would do recorded or maybe it is my Poshbugs liner!

sweetkitty · 31/03/2009 17:08

Here's a question for you nicola - would the covers and hood from the Luna fit the chassis of a Lunamix?

I love the 3 wheeler design of the Lunamix but prefer the colours of the pink Luna ideally I want the chassis of the Lunamix with the colours of the Luna, am I insane?

nicolamumof3 · 31/03/2009 18:17

no not all SK!!! pramaholics are never insane!!! thats what i keep telling hubby. what version luna do you have? i would think they do fit. i prefer the chassis of luna mix the wheels are nicer not so much plastic and i like the black. i loved my luna mix was a lovely push. i just wanted air tyres, otherwise would have kept it. You can buy luna mix chassis without hood just seat fabrics and bumper bar for £75 from m&p factory outlets! hth.

oh 5in gutted about xt delivery!

Im not so enamoured 'bout volo just got covers in wash then will picture for ebay tomorrow!!

sweetkitty · 31/03/2009 18:47

Thanks nicola I kept thinking I am on about a small 3-wheeler then why don't I just get a Luna Mix?

There was one on ebay for £77 just the black covers/bumper bar and raincover, where are these M&P outlets?

Am going to send them back bumper bar and wheels that should get £30 back

nicolamumof3 · 31/03/2009 19:06

i think i got mine from stoke (well diva got it for me then i got courier) if you go on m&p website theres a couple of them i think. then call them to see if any in! hth x

sweetkitty · 31/03/2009 19:16

Am excited now

nicolamumof3 · 31/03/2009 19:25

yes they aren't brand spanking new, ex display, my wheels were a bit dusty thats all, v.v.v.v.minimal wear only.

sweetkitty · 31/03/2009 19:32

Been looking at this lunamix

sweetkitty · 31/03/2009 19:36

Been having a look at the Skate peebles I like it more in the carrycot mode than the pushchair more although I do like the forward and rear facing thing.

nicolamumof3 · 31/03/2009 19:48

that seller often has these SK they normally go over £100.

artifarti · 31/03/2009 20:08

Hello - I am a bit of a pushchair virgin so hope it's okay to just jump in on your thread - seems like you are the ladies with the knowledge.

DS is 7 mo and up until now we have used a Mothercare My4 (sort of cheap version of Bugaboo travel system that went from pram to pushchair). But it's huge and impratical for tubes/buses and you have to take the chassis off to get it in the car so now I'm looking to get a pushchair/stroller. I am really liking the look of the BJCM but DP is worried that it won't fold up very slim - what do you think?

There's not much talk of Maclarens on here - are they considered a bit rubbish by you strollerati?

TIA

MrsMagooo · 31/03/2009 20:12

Arti BJCM is perfect for tube/bus as folds so quickly & easily. It does fold really slim too, if you saw thw size of the box it comes in you'd be astounded honestly.

I love mine & is a dream to use on public transport! So easy to just pop in boot too.

Lots of people on here love their Macs, I'm not personally a Mac fan but that's because I don't really like strollers so that's just me

nicolamumof3 · 31/03/2009 20:13

artifarti, where you been? lol! we are ALWAYS talking about maclarens, i for one love them and have bought six in the last few months!! quite a few of us on here have them. they are fab. for tubes if you need quick fold you can't go wrong with one. i'd get a quest as your little boy still quite young. haven't tried a BJCM but those who have rave about them and the fold for public transport!

artifarti · 31/03/2009 20:18

Nicola have to confess I only managed to read the first six pages !

Thanks for the advice. Can I ask a very virginal question? What's the difference between a pushchair and a stroller (Arti covers ears so as not to hear shrieks of derision at her ignorance)

MrsMagooo · 31/03/2009 20:24

For me a pushchair/pram is a big main pram, for me that's my Skate, I class a stroller as Maclarens etc, so I class my BJCM as a stroller. Everyone is different though

artifarti · 31/03/2009 20:25

And why are BJCM so difficult to get hold of? Are they between versions at the moment or something?

MrsMagooo · 31/03/2009 20:27

Do you mean the ones in Argos or just generally? The ones in Argos are on offer as they usually sell for about £160.

Lots of places no longer sell them online either, think they've brought in a new rule or something as when I contact PLO although they had 6 in stock I could only order over the phone as they said they were no longer allowed to sell online

sweetkitty · 31/03/2009 20:28

I class them all as prams but then again I am a pramaholic apprentice

nicola - I saw he had sold quite a few and the prices they went for I am just watching it for now, I think your idea of the M&P outlet shop is great

I also love Maclarens and would happily have another one but wanted to try something a bit different this time.

nicolamumof3 · 31/03/2009 20:29

i never use the term stroller so i wouldn't use.

they are either prams or pushchairs to me!! sometimes buggies!!

i call anything without a carrycot, or pramette a pram anything is practically a puschairs! not v.technical eh? all my three wheelers are 'pushchairs' or sometimes they've been called prams. so who knows!!

how do you find the my4 tho as a walking pram? i think they look really nice!

Disenchanted3 · 31/03/2009 20:32

nicolamumof3 · 31/03/2009 20:37

i wouldn't mind trying a BJCM but need to start calming down now! i would only want a black one tho, and they seem hardest to get.
