Dis did you ask her if she happened to package it up whilst it was still damp which may have caused the mould.

Also ask her how she thinks she packaged it up carefully when she left both the wheels and handles exposed?

MrsMagooo · 26/03/2009 19:51

Pebbles are you about at all??

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 19:54

Am so pissed off
made a claim through pp.

nicolamumof3 · 26/03/2009 20:18

im not surprised dis i would have done as well. good luck.

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 20:29

Dis paypal will just refund you the money and say you have to send it back though so you will end up out of pocket.

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 20:34

surely if they wanted me to send it back i would get a full refund?

ive gotten a part refund before without them asking for it back.

BeehiveBaby · 26/03/2009 20:38

Sorry about the twin buggy Disnchanted , that is rubbish. I was once really embarrassed about how I had packed a buggy (layers of cardboard and clingfilm) and got a special mention for it in my feedback from the buyer....shows how low standards can be .

We are using the Bee with a buggyboard and TBH is is not as amazing as I hoped. The steering is completely thrown and there isn't quite as much space as I hoped between seat and handlebar for DD1 to stand. DD2 also thinks it is funny to kick DD1 but you won't have that problem for a while . The good thing about it is that the rear facing seat means the recline doesn't bash into DD1 and both DDs can sit in it if you want to sling tiny one. That was the major failing of my fave buggyboard/ pram combo, the Jane Carrera with Matrix/ Cup carrycot/ Carseat and their own 'surfer board'.

carrielou2007 · 26/03/2009 20:40

If paypal say you win you will get a refund of what you have paid but as you arranged the courier obs you won't get that back AND you have to pay to return it.

It is up to the seller to ensure that the goods arrive and safely with the buyer but as you arranged the courier without asking her first then you would have to take it up with courier company.

Not sure what you hope pp dispute will acheive and they can not force a part refund.

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 20:48

im confused

i thought i ask for part refund,

seller may agree

if not i esculate and if paypal find in my favour i get part refund, end of.

i did this when a buggy arrived with no raincover, claimed part refund of 15 to buy new, seller refused, pp found in my favour and refunded 15 quid.

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 20:52

Dis did it say in the listing that there was a raincover or was there just no mention of it as my friend has just had a buggy turn up with no raincover but when she checked listing it didn't mention whether there was one or not.

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 20:57

In the description there was no mention of a raincover, but it din't say that it WASN'T included.

But in the 'checklist' up top (saying 5 point harness, adjustable footrest ect ) raincover had been clicked.

Seller argued that a raincover was sold seperatly but i said that because he had not said other wise and that he had clicked raincover in the listing that he should have included one.
If that makes sense!

pebbles79 · 26/03/2009 21:01

I'm here now MrsM.

That's new on me then, I bought a buggy that was broken and I asked in the dispute for a partial refund to get the buggy repaired but reply was no, close the case or await outcome to return.

I did win and did return it but at cost of 12.99 and it was the day before my holiday so thank heavens I got it that day or would have missed the 7 days to return!

Is she a fairly new seller? Have you had any joy with a claim with the courier? Personally if I were the seller I would not have agreed to courier a very heavy buggy if I did not have anything suitable to pack it in and I would be annoyed at the expectation for a collection only item. Maybe she was just a bit hacked off and so didn't really bother much with the packing?

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 21:13

She could have said no though!

carrielou2007 · 26/03/2009 21:18

Yes but you know how horrible ebay is at the moment, she may not want to run the risk of a possible neg.

When I listed my bugaboo frame and seat unit I had about 40 questions asking for postage costs though I stated 3 times on the listing it was collection only as I didn't have anything to pack it in.

I guess I've had my fingers burned by receiving a buggy that came broken and it was packed in one black bin liner even though courier was clearly listed and it actually said no pick ups!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:21

Hellooo ladies/women/compatriots/chumbos.

How long does that there Heather take to sew up a liner. My cash has been hers for weeks now.

Dis I have no constructive advice I am afraid.

So What else is new?

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 21:23

Dunoon,I canclled my order a while back.

Wouldn't get anything custome made again takes way too long.

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 21:26

Shes said £10 refund. From £30

Deal or no deal?

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:29

Now I am confused-I thought you paid 50 something plus courier

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 21:31

sorry i meant shes offered £10 when Iasked for £30 refunded.

I paid £60 in all with courrier.

Have asked for £20 or ill take my chances with PP.

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:31

Oh you asked for 30?

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:33

x post

Hmmm welll That could be reasonable. Does it cover what you will have to replace?

carrielou2007 · 26/03/2009 21:36

I would take it as surely you can also claim from your courier? If I were the seller I would be equally unhappy about selling it for 50 as if she had advertised courier she would likely have gotten much higher price for it. 30 pounds refund so she gets 20, less pp ebay fees, no wonder she's saying return it??

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 21:36

No!

Handles will be £6 (cheapie ones not real maclaren ) if i wanted an apron about £15, the clip is bent so about £12 for one of those (but not too fussed with that)

But I am going to have to spend £14 on 2 seat liners as I cant sit kids in it after mould - but will scrub to try and removed. but not asking for liner money, lol.

nicolamumof3 · 26/03/2009 21:36

dunoon is heather replying to emails? did she say how long it would take i think 6 weeks is not unusual im afraid for custom stuff? shame tho.

Dis you are right she could have said no she didn't have to send. i would want to return the damn thing tbh i don't think its worth £50. i'd rather have my money back and get something else. but then im a fussy cow!!

dunoon how you feeling now btw? my quest should come tomorrow and lady sending scarlet bubbles covers tomorrow...anyone want a spare quest raincover?
