Wow, you ladies can talk, lol!

OP posts:
carrielou2007 · 26/03/2009 21:39

Ooh Nicola I might, my apples one has a ripped raincover though I don't know how bad. I have one from my black mod I'm selling but would sell better with one? if no-one gets it before me can I let you know when I get the apples tomorrow??

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:42

TBH I havent bothered to email as I knew it was going to take a while. Might go off now and see exactly how long it has been. It feels like a lifetime but hey I am as impatient as the best of them!

I agree with Nicloa that I wold be sending it back now and have done with it. I could not be bothered with the faff of finding and buying bits for the pushchair that were costing me more tham sending back.

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:44

I had some nurofen in order to make dinner and am still under the influence. However felt crap earlier and am still producing lots of interesting coloured gunk so am not out of the woods. How you?

Disenchanted3 · 26/03/2009 21:46

yes but i will have to pay courrier back, and wont get courrier money from sending back, thats £16 down already.

Plus Im just mentally exhausted lately and I haven't got it in me to pack it up, and try and find something else as cheap.

If I can get money for new handles and the mould comes off i will be happy with it.

nicolamumof3 · 26/03/2009 21:50

dunoon im good thanks...

carrie, you getting apples?? have i missed something? where from?

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:51

16 down buying handles and liners at least too.

On the plus side mould will come off.

I paid poshbugs only on the 5th so thats just over 3 weeks ago. I am only being impatient then........

nicolamumof3 · 26/03/2009 21:53

im the same dunoon hate waiting for stuff. i know it takes a while to get custom stuff a month is not unusual...at least unfortunately.

carrielou2007 · 26/03/2009 21:56

Yep, apples, one month old (checked their feedback from where they bought it from new) so fingers crossed will be good condition and only 70 pounds (but pick up only)

That's just reminded me to list my poshbugs bag on ebay.

nicolamumof3 · 26/03/2009 21:58

oh fabby was that on ebay then...never even noticed lol!

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 21:59

I will definitly try making a liner myself at some point.

Talking of which what does anyone reckon to this idea:
I have been thinking of making moses basket liners to sell. I made one for DD2 because I borrowed a moses basket and hated the frilly liner in it. Then with DD3 I bought a second hand one and it had no liner anyway.

The one I made was quilted and lined the inside only because I liked to see the basket outside. It attached with short ties that slipped through the basket weave and tied on the outside.

Whaddya think?

nicolamumof3 · 26/03/2009 22:02

i think that sounds nice, i agree its nice to see the basket, personally im not a fan of moses baskets tho, such a limited time they can use them for, mine have all gone into big cot and slept better in that from just a few weeks old.

right nighty night girls!! X

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 22:04

Night xx

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 22:10

Dis Raincover wasn't in the checklist or description so I suppose she hasn't got a case. Oh well you learn by your mistakes.

sweetkitty · 26/03/2009 22:23

Evening all well DP tried to get the rear wheels off and can't so will phone M&P tomorrow for advice.

Dis - when I complained about the Luna which I paid £55 for, she offered me a refund of £30 I didn't ask for that amount. The mould will come off I have had mould on a few prams now and it's always come off either in the wash or with a scrub with some hot soapy water. I so know what you mean about being so diheartened with it all I felt like that last week.

I think it's a lesson to us both not ot buy second hand prams off ebay

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 22:26

But on the plus side I just won some excellent condition Doodles for £5 delivered!! I decided once it was March DS could start wearing his Doodles again. He has been wearing the one's I got in the sale last summer but have just got him some in the next size up.

carrielou2007 · 26/03/2009 22:30

Flyme that sounds lovely, I would defo have bought some (though dd never slept in the moses basket) from you, lol at you and your meds!!

I've bought 2 buggies from ebay and been ripped off my the seller but won disputes for it yet still been out of pocket at having to pay to return. Have been brave and bought a zapp this week that is in fab condition so lets hope the apples is too but no more buggies for me!!

BexieID · 26/03/2009 23:12

nappy, are they the doodles with the buckle? I got Tom the start-rite version and will get some more.

Tom slept in a moses basket until he was 3 months. The first night we moved to Scotland was the last time he slept in it!

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 23:18

no they are the ones with the velcro straps so a bit more enclosed than the ones with a buckle. wasn't sure if it was a bit cold for the buckle version yet.

BexieID · 26/03/2009 23:36

I like the velcro ones but I dont think Tom liked them. Msybe they were too narrow for him, iykwim? Would like to get him some for this year.

BexieID · 26/03/2009 23:42

These don't look as pointy.

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 23:45

They come in F and G fittings. Is he very wide? I like these

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 23:47

The buckle ones only come in F and G fittings aswell.

this t-bar velcro strap pair comes in E, F, G and H fittings so might be suitable if he has a wide foot.

BexieID · 26/03/2009 23:47

He's an 8f atm. I think it's because they are more pointy at the toe.

BexieID · 26/03/2009 23:51

The barnacle ones look nice.

These are the ones I wanted to get last year.

nappyaddict · 26/03/2009 23:53

DS measures up as a 6.5F but we nearly always have to go for the G fitting when it comes to trying on the shoes.
