How often do you have sex?

Pre children DH and I had sex maybe 5 times a month on average. Now it's maybe that many times a year 😱

For context our children have never slept through so for 5 years I've not had a good night's sleep. We still love each other, hug, laugh, snuggle, enjoy each other's company etc etc

Not many people talk about how sex changes over time. So now I'm curious, how many times do you have sex?

As infrequently as I can get away with.

No kids in our forties. Once a week maybe twice. Maybe more on holidays. It seems to suit us, we are quite a tactile/affectionate couple at other times.

Once a week on average

5 years in, probably 5 times a week. We are 40+
We have 4 kids between us but usually have 3 child free nights a week.

Once a week at the weekend!

Both kids were born this millenium, so that's at least twice.
Current batting average maybe once a decade.
I'd need some sort of 'past life' therapy to help me remember how it feels...

Why are your children not sleeping? That would be the first issue to deal with.

About once a week but I know my dp would like it way more! His sex drive is so much higher than mine.

2-3 times a week, been together 25 years. Only a teen at home now so things have ramped up, as have more time to be together. But in the early years with young kids it was a lot less. I still fancy the pants of DH and love him deeply ❤️

2-3 times a week we've been together 21 years ( since I was 17) and have 2 children the youngest has just turned 7.It was less after having children it was probably more like every other week until my youngest was about 3/4 and it naturally increased I feel like the more independent they have got the more 'me' I feel again whereas for a whilst I just felt like I was mum and nothing else.

2-3 times a week. We met when I was 24, DH 25 and it was more like 3-4 times a week then. Now both 34 with a 4 year old and 1.5 yo. While I was breastfeeding we only had sex once a week as my libido tanked, but after ending breastfeeding my mojo came back both times. I'd actually prefer to go back to 3-4 times a week but DH isn't keen!

I'm amazed that people are asking why the children aren't sleeping. Some children just don't. I have 3DC, not had a whole night's sleep since the first one was born over 20 years ago. Clearly I'm not wrong in thinking other parents have it easier. 😫

Average 2 to 3 times a week. Together 10 years, married 5, with a 4 year old.

Once a week generally. I'm 41 he's 44 kids are 6 and 9. Been together 13 years married for 7. He'd like more I think but I just don't have a high sex drive.

4/5 times a week, both early fifties and together two years. Both have older teenage kids.

I was previously in a pretty much sexless marriage so I’m making the most of it!
