Reposting here for traffic:

Hello, is there anyone whose DC did the SW Herts Consortium 11+ test this year who could please check the Applicaa portal to see if their test results are visible? We were able to pick up the result last week but now the button is greyed out.

As background our score was way WAY lower than anything our DC has ever got before, and they thought the test had gone fine other than running out of time on last few questions of maths paper. Our target school is an independent so it’s not the end of the world but equally it doesn’t bode well for the indy exam. I’m probably desperately clutching at straws and wondering if there was some sort of mistake with the score and it’s now being checked….

I've completely lost track of who is waiting for what and who has got results they want and who hasn't had such good news but a huge well done to everyone for making it this far. The fact we're already at 40 pages and knocking on the door of thread #3 shows how supportive and engaged everyone here is.

Hiddenmyname · 21/10/2025 16:21

My DS didnt pass.. 2 marks off, Wirral. He performs at Greater Depth in maths and a few others and even got offered a scholarhip for a private school so he has ability but doesn't test well. He is so disappointed... I think we'll appeal although with my eldest it was a waste of time, however we didn't have academic evidence to back it up, just dyslexia.

DS has also been poorly for a few months so we'll mention that too if we appeal.
I'm quite happy for him to go private with our eldest as the school is wonderful but he really wanted to go to the local grammar, it's awful seeing them so disappointed.

DAO results are out :) Positive for us. All the best to everyone else awaiting their results.

Well done! Congratulations:)

Positive result for us too at DAO! Very pleased.

Well done, you must be relieved x

Thank you! Honestly so relieved. Just having one definite place has really taken off the pressure! We would be happy for him to go to DAO regardless so really chuffed.

It's great news!

A child in my sons class received a score of 334R for one of the schools, does anyone know what that means? I haven’t seen or heard anything about the “R” before.

Did they fill out the special circumstances form?

I think it can happen when the schools first get the scores back from GL and review them - if a local review is successful, the initial mark is changed to 334R

I had the best night's sleep last night! Are you still waiting on other results?

There definitely seems wriggle room if you look back at the Freedom of Information requests (although you have experience of this, I see, so don't really need me to tell you) so worth appealing.

Oh thanks for the reply. That makes sense I think they probably did have a special circumstances case. He only passed 1/4 schools. I’ll let his parents know as they didn’t think he passed!

No all done! But do need to wait til March to see if we get the school we want as it isn’t a pass/dont pass situation. But I feel fine now as we have a good fall back.

Same here, but DD is at position 40 and there's 128 places available - so I'm hoping I can assume it's a done deal! For DAO, I assume up to position 100 is "safe" and possibly even a beyond via waiting list?

40 definitely sounds like a done deal even with sibling priority, it's a great score. Well done!

Lamarais · 22/10/2025 08:27

Fantastic SFV that’s a done deal!!

Yes we have a rank within the top 65 at DAO which is safe as there are 65 spaces. I believe in previous years anything down to around 100 is usually safe too as not everyone will put it as their top choice.

teachermum26 · 21/10/2025 15:20

Trafford results were sent at 2:11 and DS passed!! We are soo so pleased for him. He passed all 4 grammar schools but hoping to send him to stretford as it’s only a 10 minute commute.

Congratulations to everyone who passed, and a big well done to all who tried their best. One test doesn’t define you — success comes in many forms and you’ll shine wherever you go.

Congratulations. Stretford is a great school and there is a lot to be said for a short commute!

Yes, that was my understanding too... so top 65 means you def get a place then :) Amazing job! I need a break for a few days somewhere remote! This whole experience has been a little overwhelming for me. Let's see if my youngest (only Y3 at the moment), will want to follow his sister's steps!

I have a friend still waiting for Latymer, which is apparently not until end of day Friday!

@Lamarais @SFV Congratulations! Thanks @Magnificentkitteh . @SFV 100 is surely safe abased on previous years stats. We have a confirmed place at DAO but that wont be our 1st choice so Im sure there are quite a few like us who will do the same. Latymer results awaited now but we need to move for that so its not going to be in our list anywhere.

slaybell · 22/10/2025 10:22

Long wait (again!) today for Loreto results. Anyone else waiting for these too?

troppibambini6 · 22/10/2025 10:24

@slaybell not this year but I feel your pain my two DDs went/are there. They are always last it’s so frustrating!! Good luck to your dd 🤞

Magnificentkitteh · 22/10/2025 10:30

SFV · 22/10/2025 08:42

Thanks! Remind me, are you waiting for Latymer results?

Yes. Though I think we might put HB as first preference which means waiting till march. Still would be nice to know if Latymer is a guaranteed fallback. Heart sank when you said end of the day Friday but will soon all be over.
