A test result section has appeared in Applicaa for Trafford consortium but no results uploaded yet 😬

I saw this!! I feel sick with nerves. I am
expecting results to be out tomorrow but today would be even better

Someone told me they normally send them either before school or after because in the past parents have showed up at the school in the middle of the day to tell their kids they passed!! Unsure how true that is but it makes some sense... however that may just be specific to our primary 😂

That does make sense! Come on half past three!!!

duckydoo234 · 21/10/2025 12:43

Wirral result just through

Magnificentkitteh · 21/10/2025 12:44

Good luck everyone

Not here. The alphabetical thing must be true - our school is towards when of alphabet! How stupid. Just send them all at once and be fair.

Backinthedress · 21/10/2025 13:31

Submitted my request for a review. Although her first choice school wont consider her on the pupil premium entry with the mark she got, her second choice - and the school her sibling attends - will. It's made me just a little more optimistic that she might have a shot.

Sorry to hear that. Worth going for selection review?

Yes, we are applying for selection review. As he is just few points short, we are hopeful but not holding our breath.

Oh! Our school begins with B. Hope you get yours soon!

Maybetoofarsouth · 21/10/2025 14:09

Our Wirral result is out too. Hope everyone else's is through. We are also early in the alphabet.

DAO results are out :) Positive for us. All the best to everyone else awaiting their results.

slaybell · 21/10/2025 14:34

Trafford results are in and not great news here but DD tried her best and that’s all we can ask of her. It wasn’t a huge surprise given her mock results but it seems like she improved a lot which we are proud of her for!

Sorry to hear this. It sounds like she really did give it her best shot. Well done to her

Lamarais · 21/10/2025 14:42

Positive result for us too at DAO! Very pleased.

UnicornLand1 · 21/10/2025 14:55

Congratulations to all the kids!
We got our DAO results, too. Unfortunately his ranked position is above 100. Last year he wouldn't have got in, but he would have managed to get in 2 years ago. Now we will just have to wait and see, I guess, though not much hope there. I actually start to regret to have dragged him through the whole tutoring process, as he would have probably secured the same school that he got now without all this extra work. He missed all the other schools by 3-5 points. He is a very clever kid, if only he showed some more enthusiasm... lol. This is also a lesson for me not to do the same with my younger boy, as he doesn't seem to be that academic at all. The process is merciless.

Sorry to hear this unicorn. Do you know whether last year's info includes waiting list places as there can be quite a lot of movement. I think DAO has a sibling policy if you are successful.

Pretty good news from Trafford here. 2 marks off urmston though so I think we’ll appeal. I don’t know how likely that will be to pass

Ah I’m sorry. It’s so tough. And there is definitely plenty of movement and there is every year, it’s not our first choice school so we will only take our DAO spot if option 1 doesn’t work out.

You’ve got a very good chance if headteacher is supportive and school reports showing working at greater depth for core subjects.

Excellent, yes they do and head will be.

teachermum26 · 21/10/2025 15:20

Trafford results were sent at 2:11 and DS passed!! We are soo so pleased for him. He passed all 4 grammar schools but hoping to send him to stretford as it’s only a 10 minute commute.

Congratulations to everyone who passed, and a big well done to all who tried their best. One test doesn’t define you — success comes in many forms and you’ll shine wherever you go.

DD1 passed on local review last year, as did 2 of her friends from school so I think a fair few get in this way.

Well done Flowers

troppibambini6 · 21/10/2025 15:30

Congratulations to all that got the result they wanted and huge hugs to those that didn’t it’s a brutal process 😢
Ds passed for them all he won’t be going to any of them as wants to go to St Ambrose with his brother.
It’s a nice confidence boost for him though.
