That's amazing, well done! You should be incredibly proud :) DD scored 305, so my consolation is that she wasn't anywhere near the pass mark of 345!

Well done. I have no idea either. I'm hoping there's actually less prep you can do?

I think that's better than my dd1 did. My email didn't give a score or rank. Just says they'll send the info for round 2

I saw on another thread somewhere (and sorry if I've already shared this info) that the English comp was only 3 questions, but required long essay style answers examining the mood, the characters etc of the text. And please check maths - it's MCQ and according to the "what do they know" website they apply negative marking for wrong answers (2 marks for correct answers, -1 mark for wrong answers). Let me see if I can find the link.

I can't find the request on the What do They Know website, but found this... it's very harsh though as I think kids should be allowed to make mistakes surely!

I know! DD just did a little jig about NVR being a thing of the past. VR is still in play for StMM but that's our third choice I think (visiting tomorrow and the journey is temptingly easier but I don't think we'd turn down HB or Latymer if she actually got a place)

Latymer is a bit of a mission for us.... probably an hour door to door!

We got HB results back too. It’s a no for us. Does anyone know what the mark was out of? My email I think said all those who scored over 345+ got through to round 2.

I don’t know how I feel tbh. I knew it was a long shot but it’s still disappointing to read. Congrats to all those who got through! Can I ask what mark your child got? My DD scored 332….. something recurring! My DH got the email so I haven’t actually read it properly but I remember him saying all those over 345 got through.

We’re waiting on latymer now hopefully that will be more positive. Goodluck to those waiting on Latymer and other exams x

Sorry, that must be really disappointing. They didn’t share the scores of kids who got through round 1. Just a mail saying they are through.

Ah sorry it was a disappointing result for you. I remember that flat feeling with dd1, even though I'd not taken it anywhere near as seriously and thought I didn't really mind either way.

My email doesn't say a score, or what rank she actually is. Just "delighted to say your daughter is in top 300, we will write to you with details of the test on 6 October.". I don't even know if these scores count towards the final ranking.

I think Latymer is quite a different test as much more maths-heavy.

Both schools are just under an hour door to door for us. I still don't know if that's a good idea. Part of me thinks it really isn't, but DD was so keen to apply and it gains its own momentum.

oh gosh getting very anxious. Lots of people on 11plus exams forum are saying results have been coming in since 5pm. nothing still for us.... really worried it's bad news

I'm sure that's not how it works, just the sheer volume of emails to send... But yeah. Nerve wrecking
