But the LA must know that in terms of the half term dates?! What a total cock up!

I wonder if something has happened eg they’ve had to make an allowance for a child sitting it very late or something??

According to one of the Grammer Heads the results are sorted but they can’t work out how to send them out?!

Omg is this because its the website not an email. We are in the same boat Chis and Sid is potentially DD 1st choice but we can only do the 17th open day as away the following week. Fingers crossed its sorted asap.

Magnificentkitteh · 09/10/2025 13:21

Latymer gave up on applicaa and just emailed in the end. That company has a lot to answer for!

Probably.

And as you know chis and Sid are opening the bookings at 4pm on the 16th but I don’t think the results will be out then!

Purpletoes · 09/10/2025 13:28

Yes have an alarm set on phone and the page bookmarked for just before 4pm on 16th 🤣

AmIAloneInThinking · 09/10/2025 13:38

I don’t get it though!! They got them out last year, and the year before that, and the year before that and so on 😂
Have the LA just not received the annual brain cell or something??

Purpletoes · 09/10/2025 14:09

For 2022 for 2023 entrance it was the last year of cem exams for Bexley my DS sat it we got the results on the 7th October pleantly of time to see the schools etc. He picked Beths.

AmIAloneInThinking · 09/10/2025 14:17

So was 2024 the first year of GL assessments for Bexley or was it this year? Kent use GL and had their date set in stone way before the kids even sat the test

macaroniart · 09/10/2025 14:27

2023 for 2024 intake was the first year of GL in Bexley and the results were delayed that year too. It was a nightmare.

Ahmawa · 09/10/2025 15:50

How does the marking scheme work with a written paper?

The Crossley Heath test was an English, Maths and VR paper with an addition of a written paper.

So it's straight forward to mark the English, Maths and VR papers but how do they mark and score the written element? Or do they only score that if the child meets the passing score?

I have heard that yes, as you say, they only mark the written paper if you pass the other sections.

Bexley people, it’s just been announced that the results will be available on Tuesday 14th.

Sunshinemam · 09/10/2025 21:29

Woohoo, finally a confirmed date for the Bexley results! Thanks for letting us know @Gymrabbit . Now roll on Tuesday! Been following this post for a while, wishing everyone good luck x

DolphinOnASkateboard · 10/10/2025 08:30

Gently suggested that people should resist the urge to share their results on the Y6 WhatsApp because, hey, it might be a difficult afternoon for some of us so maybe let's all wait until emotions have cooled a little and HOO BOY I may as well have suggested a class visit to Gaza.

macaroniart · 10/10/2025 08:30

Does anyone know how we will log on to get the results in Bexley?

DolphinOnASkateboard · 10/10/2025 08:31

Anyway, happy Buckinghamshire Results Day to those who celebrate.

TeaandHobnobs · 10/10/2025 08:46

Oh @DolphinOnASkateboard, that’s shitty of them! Honestly, why are some people like this???
We’ve had 2 or 3 emails from school asking for results not to be discussed on the premises, and one mum sent a reminder to the WhatsApp group this week too - I think everyone is understanding, but we will wait and see if anything kicks off later 😬

I agreed with DD when I dropped her off that I wouldn’t open the email until she gets home, and we can do it together.

People are such dicks. Have already spoken to our daughter about being gracious if she passes and hoping that others will be the same. X

Magnificentkitteh · 10/10/2025 09:05

Oh gosh I feel for you all. At least here it's not such a communal affair. Good luck everybody

@DolphinOnASkateboard
A few years ago when my DC1 went through this, we did share results (not actual scores) on the Y6 11+ WhatsApp group, if people wanted to, everyone who joined the group did - we separated the 11+ stuff from the usual class chat. What I found was that our Y6 11+ WhatsApp DC processed the results, whatever they were, a lot quicker and painlessly than the other DC.
On the Monday morning, all the Y6 11+ DC knew each other's outcomes said a quick well done or well tried and got on with the day. The DC that weren't part of the group had to keep repeating their results which was quite hard for some DC.

So although I know you are trying to protect the DC, sometimes it's just better to get the info out there - if you want to.

DolphinOnASkateboard · 10/10/2025 09:23

It's not the kids I'm worried about - they're not on WhatsApp! But I can well imagine how it'll feel to get an email saying your kid hasn't passed and be trying to deal with that while your phone is pinging away with gleeful boasts from happier parents.

TBH that didn't happen last time. No boasting or lording it over other parents. Unless you have some real prats, most parents have the emotional intelligence to play it low key externally, if your DC has passed

I think it will be similar to the way you looked up your child's test centre i.e there will be a button to access a page where you'll put in your child's details along with their student/reference number and then the results will be shown.
Am assuming that's the case because we never had to create an account with Bexley LA when we first registered and it was just all done via putting in the student number

Thank you! Now I just need to dig out all this info...

Is the issues with GL assessments then? The Skipton schools use GL and I have been merrily assuming we will get results as planned by actual letter in the post either tomorrow (as happened when my daughter sat) or Monday. We don't always get our post delivered in a timely fashion though, our round is constantly short staffed, so snail mail is not ideal.
