Starting this thread for people with children applying to the Brit School year 10 entry 2025.

Ah, Ok thanks. My daughter's says 'completed' under form status. I've emailed admissions to ask whether the appearance of the appeals link means the application has been unsuccessful. I'll let you know if I get a response.

I would be interested to know if anyone going for the theatre strand can't see the appeals link on the application. Thanks

We got our KS4 Music offer by email yesterday (also available in 'Messages' in the system), but it still shows: 'Offer status: Pending' in the Home screen. I guess they are waiting for the paperwork to be returned to guarantee the place and confirm..?

I also noticed that I can see the 'Offer status' in my account, but can't see it in my son's one.

My DD unfortunately didn't get a place, yesterday when I logged in i noticed the appeal link and I know from previous threads this wasn't a good sign. We got email confirmation this morning.

I've got to find a way to break the news to her after school.

It’s reserve place offer for my DD for MT. We are OC so I fully accept the chances of being offered a place are very slim. It’s been a great achievement to get this far…

Yes. But where is the link seen on the application form? Maybe I am missing it

It's on the home page, towards the bottom of the page, underneath the application form

...it sounds like the appearance of the appeals link is a sign that she's been unsuccessful. It's not the best way to half communicate the outcome, but hopefully they will confirm properly in writing soon. Good luck to everyone and well done to those who have got a place!

Just in case this is helpful- not sure what they are doing this year for the reserve list, but getting on the reserve list is still a great achievement. Last year they had 10 on the reserve list per strand- again not sure about this year- but last year a good number on the reserve list got in eventually.

I understand that last year they swapped out like for like, so for example if a boy on the offered list rejected their place, then a boy on the reserve list for that strand would be then offered a place - or if an out of catchment person rejected a place, then an out of catchment person on the reserve list would be offered the place - there was movement and offers going out up until the middle of September last year!

So don’t give up hope if your child is on the reserve list, they may well still get a place!

Heard back from the Brit, who reassured me that the appearance of the appeals link doesn't mean anything. She suggested that they appear for everyone as it's just the next step in the workflow. Apparently outcomes for theatre won't be communicated until next week at the earliest. Fingers crossed that this is the right advice. Again, good luck to everyone.

I have just contacted the Brit School regarding if the results have already gone out. They said that they’re on half term at the moment, so the school is closed until the 17th March. But some teachers will assess applications during their half term and send out the results to parents. So basically don’t worry too much if you haven’t heard by the end of this week, as they don’t return till next week. My DD auditioned for FMP and the Brits informed me that these have not been sent out as yet.😊

Just want to apologise for adding to the anxiety with previous post. Brit have reassured me that the 'appeals' link doesn't mean anything. Theatre results next week.
