2023 Eleven Plus support thread

I thought it might be useful for parents of 2023 children taking the 11+ test next school year to have a space to talk everything 11+ - tips on managing stress, approaches to the different papers, ways of relaxing etc.

Let's try and keep it positive and supportive!

Congratulations @Paddingtonthebear! I am on tenterhooks with the results of three tests coming at some point this week!

@Paddingtonthebear That must've been such a stressful weekend for you. Knowing that everyone else had got them but you hadn't. Is the letter stuck in the postal system somewhere? Congratulations to your daughter though - that's fantastic news.

Good luck to those getting their results this week. I didn't sleep much last night as we are putting all our eggs in one basket here. It's the only grammar she could realistically travel to. Still a few days to wait here and I'm getting quite stressed about it.

Not sure, the post is not reliable here, hoping it turns up today but you never know it could just be lost

Still expecting Bexley will be tomorrow but refreshing email like mad all the same....

I too am really going that bexley results are released today. I am concerned if 7000 sat for Bexley that my child may miss out as was sick at time of test but not sick enough to have been stopped taking it.

Also the year 5 teacher does not see my child as grammar material.

Anyone knows about West Midlands schools? I know Birmingham results will be emailed tomorrow

@autumncolor I think they are the same.. as the children wrote one exam that covers 19 schools in west midlands.

Warwickshire results are out. We got them as we were walking out of the open morning!! Luckily she passed 😊

Hi everyone and well done to those successful in their selection tests. I’m awaiting the Bexley results. I had hoped we would have heard Friday nothing today so think it will be Tuesday. The wait is really getting to me so I’m grateful for this thread and solidarity.

@Rinse123 I understand. We are getting results tomorrow hopefully. I’m struggling to focus on anything.

Well, tomorrow for Bexley then sigh. At least it's a bit more definite tomorrow.

@Sleeplessi waiting on Trafford too! Apparently it's either tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday - one of the grammars finishes for half term on Thursday and results are going to be out before then.

Urmston Grammar released their results in error last Tuesday. I didn't log on in time before they were taken down but I know two people who did and who passed (assuming the results were accurate). Such a long wait.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it, especially after last week’s Urmston drama. I’d heard any time from tomorrow too so let’s hope. 6 weeks since the exam!

Bexley put an update on the website saying could be as late as 6pm today. I’m not sure I can cope until 6pm. Hoping they send results sooner.

I'm really worried about the consequences of this delay - especially if so many kids sat it!

Tiffin boys could be out today too. Website says ‘on or around’ today.
