GCSE 2022 Results - the moment of reckoning!

Hello everyone, here is a shiny new thread ready for DC’s results day tomorrow and a much needed hand hold for us nervous parents. 🥴🤪

Tomorrow is the culmination of an incredibly turbulent 2 year journey that our young people have had to navigate. Fraught with ups and downs. They have done us all proud!!

Just out of interest - do the teachers know the raw scores? Just trying to plan contingency’s in my head to figure if it’s worth appealing. Oh now I sound like I doubt my dds abilities before we even know

Feeling disappointed on behalf of the youngsters heading off to festivals in the rain, after the very long, dry and warm summer. Typical!

DD has just left to get hers. She decided at the last minute she didn't want me to go with her. They can get them from 8am and then register for 6th form straight away.

AQA are updating their grade boundary page at 8am

My dd can pick up at 8 but isn't leaving till 09:30 to get there for 10 😅

It is taking all my will power to not go and shake her awake 😳

Weather for Leeds looks OK, I think. Not sure about Reading.

Good morning...not enough sleep for me last night! Waking DS up in 5 minutes & we'll head up to school (5 minute walk) for 9am...

@FAQs I saw that some BTEC students don't have their results from last week, that really is appalling

That is so awful for the BTEC students. Hope none of them have lost their university places as a result.

I'm just getting ready to take my DD into school to get her results. I've got everything crossed for everyone awaiting their results. I'm so nervous.

At school now - they are going into school. Various parents are standing around outside looking stressed.

All passed and he’s in for 6th form.
Maths - 9
Eng lit - 9
Biology - 8
Chem - 8
Physics -8
Eng lang - 8
Geog - 8
ICT - 8
History -6
Spanish - 4

Spanish a bit disappointing as he got a 6 in his mock but it’s still a pass and he hated every minute of it so all good!
Off into school for the official paper now.

DD showing no signs of getting up and checking hers 😭

Just waiting for DD to come down, we can go in between 8.30 and 9.30. I keep telling myself we’re not going for biopsy results, it’s only GCSEs and all re-doable if necessary!

DD has not yet emerged - but she did say she would probably take ages to manage to get the courage to open the envelope….

Sadly these were NOT my DD's results but @QueenMabby !!
I would be in absolute shock if my DD performs as well!
