Calling all parents who’s ds sat the 11+ today... ds said maths was super hard and not the usual questions, he said he couldn’t finish the paper. Wondering if it was the case for the majority or he just had a bad day...

The head distinctly said there would be no exploding offers. And also I’m pretty sure the Admissions lady said the results would be emailed on Friday 14th Feb, in the first instance. Happy to be corrected on that though!

Just saw @Sosickoflovesongs post! Yes I too thought I heard the Admissions lady say email on the 13th but wondered if I’d heard wrong?! Well, 13th or 14th, the wait will soon be over. Hang in there.

At the interview the admissions lady said they’d email on Thursday 13th, but in the info they gave us after the exam they said 14th..... so I think definitely email, but am less sure on day!

I think we are supposed to find out on the 14th. Some schools will send out letters 1st class on 13th to arrive on the 14th and others will email on the 14th. There is an agreement on this between quite a few of the schools in the area, particularly boys ones.

TBH, when DS was called for the interview I believe that we were one of the first to hear... So I think that in this case “no news” might be “bad news”... Maybe they are sending the offers today and the “no” tomorrow...? I’m losing hope... Does anyone know if someone has already received a “no” today? Or only offer letters so far this morning...?

Hi Flowerpot... DS is 13+ and there are only 35 places... E-mails also meant to come today... By now I think that DS is probably a “no”... If I was them I would send the “no” letters towards the end of the day so that parents couldn’t call for more info before half term... It’s OK... Life has to go on...

Nothing here. Very nervous. I wonder if rather than alphabetically it’s by school again?! Hope so....
The ones who have had offers....are their schools early in alphabet maybe?! Clutching at straws!!!

This is so cruel to the families and particularly to the children... I do hope that they send the “no” imminently and put everyone out of their misery... Hope they don’t make us wait till 6pm or even tomorrow by end of day... Clutching at straws too: anyone has any 13+ news?

It is an automated message... How long could a computer possibly take, in 2020, to send out no more than 300 or 400 automated, pre-written, messages...? I can only conclude that the school is postponing the “no” to avoid enquiries, which is utter cruel and disrespectful...

Email came this morning around 930 with an offer of a place. DH actually messaged me as I hadn’t checked as wasn’t expecting to hear until tomorrow.
Start of the alphabet surname but school near the end if that helps.
I rang the admissions as I only read the first bit and not the attached letter and I had a question re scholarship. They answered the phone straight away and were incredibly nice despite me hardly being able to talk :)
