11+ waiting for results

Mumoftwinsandanother · 13/09/2018 14:46

Hi there

My twins have both taken the 11+ in Bucks today. Results come out on 13th October, I think. It could really go either way for both of them. My biggest fear is that one gets in and the other does not (really quite possible).
Saw that last year there was a thread from parents during the waiting period and I wondered if anyone wanted to take part in a hand holding thread this year (for any county). Obviously have to be very careful what I say to DTs so would be useful to vent here.

Anyone else in similar position?

I'm jumping every time I get an email notification, but I don't "feel" it'll be today. I think tomorrow. No reason, just a feeling.

I've stalked the website again 😆and found this, which doesn't even say "mid-October", but just any day before the 31st:

Results
Reading School will post results of tests securely online to parents in advance of the Common Application date (31st October 2018)...

😓😓😓

MrsTWH · 15/10/2018 13:14

And Kendrick website says mid to end of October!

Mountainscalling · 15/10/2018 13:19

Kendrick have added this to their website today....

We do not have a confirmed date for releasing the results of the admission tests for entry in Year 7 in September 2019. These will be made available before the end of this week once our internal checking processes are complete. Our Receptionist or Admissions Team cannot give you any further information than this. Your patience is appreciated in this matter.

Meaning: stop ringing the school to ask if the results are out yet Grin

BluthsFrozenBananas · 15/10/2018 13:32

Waiting for the results is horrible, but at least in Kent we had a set day, not knowing when they're going to come in must be hell.

The girls grammar here had an open morning this morning, a quick chat with the admissions people confirmed that from where we live a place at the school is almost certain for DD as long as we put them as our first choice. I still won’t be entirely able to relax until March when we get confirmation of the place though.

Fingers crossed for all of those still waiting.

MrsTWH · 15/10/2018 15:21

Thought the results had come out, got an email... and it basically says “please stop ringing us!” Grin

Hoping tonight’s governor meeting is to verify results and they’ll be out maybe Weds?

WhatsGoingOnEh · 15/10/2018 15:50

@MrsTWH I had heart failure when I saw the email subject line with RESULTS in it! 😆

It's bound to be Wednesday as I'm in hospital having a general anaesthetic that afternoon (only a tiny operation, nothing too scary although I am a massive worrier about anything health-related) so I won't be able to read the email. Hopefully I'll live to see how it turned out...

brisklady · 16/10/2018 07:11

Congratulations crisscross!

JayDot500 · 16/10/2018 07:12

Been lurking but @crisscross I'm so happy for you after the stress of seeing the results beforehand!

Highbeam · 16/10/2018 07:13

Congratulations @crisscrosscranky xx

PerspicaciaTick · 16/10/2018 07:14

Highbeam, congratulations to your DS that is a stunning mark.
My DS is solidly in the Amber zone for KEGS, WHSB and SHSB so still in with a realistic chance. It's going to be a long wait until March.

PerspicaciaTick · 16/10/2018 07:15

Well done to Crawford's DC too. Such a relief.

PerspicaciaTick · 16/10/2018 07:16

Crawford? Crisscross. Sorry

TwinMummy30 · 16/10/2018 07:24

Anyone had any news from Slough consortium?

Highbeam · 16/10/2018 07:27

Well done @PerspicaciaTick , everybody I know in that zone got a place.
