Thanks for the number crunching mmzz. Any idea about Art?

Clearly genius isn't a pre-requisite for 9s judging by your grid though. The term is used very lightly these days! I'm not convinced all geniuses are lonely if you look at geniuses historically though - Stephen Hawking is the most recent obvious example that springs to mind - although I absolutely do think crazily high intelligence is at least as often a curse as a blessing.

Yes, next recycling day, the bin is going to be full! Then I'll be able to dust properly.

mmzz please add PE - thanks!

goodbyestranger · 12/06/2018 10:18

Crossed post! mmzz, please add Art :)

PeggySchuylar · 12/06/2018 10:24

My not genius but most naturally able child has the worst GCSEs here Sad

beenrumbled · 12/06/2018 10:25

mmzz that tale is great, thank you.

10 minutes left of the Maths exam.

He then has a chemistry revision session and can come home after that.

He has another 6th form interview this evening.

TerfTerfTerf · 12/06/2018 10:26

I think to the younger generation, genius has become someone who works at Apple Grin I also don't think I've met a true genius, but several who think they are (surprisingly, all men!)
Is there an overlap between prodigy and genius? And where does gifted fit in? What about Kings Scholars at Eton?

Yep, house a pigsty.
Piles of paper in every room even on the landing. DDs bedroom not cleaned for a month because of the piles of paper and books on the floor. Desk in her bedroom seems to be used for storing non school work whilst every other available surface is used as a desk!!
She knows she has a ‘pass’ to not tidy up or do any chores until this weekend then we are going to blitz the place.
TBH it’s driving me nuts but I am also falling into the trap of “well it’s messy anyway, I might as well leave that carrier bag/filing/work paperwork where it is too”.

The recycling bin will be full to the brim!!!

I'm hoping that exexcel maths is as noble says, and not too challenging. Won't hear until this evening though. Interested to hear others' verdicts.

TerfTerfTerf · 12/06/2018 10:29

Peggy that is exactly what's wrong with pigeon-holing everyone according to exams. Has your DC been able to overcome that to get on after GCSEs?

goodbyestranger · 12/06/2018 10:30

Thank you mmzz!

mmzz · 12/06/2018 10:31

House generally okay (but not 'visitor ready'). Dd's room and study a messy, fetid pit

BlueBelle123 · 12/06/2018 10:34

Interesting thanks mmzz.......shalln't be showing DS!

BlueBelle123 · 12/06/2018 10:35

HMcAsWas I'm not sure our house is ever visitor ready Smile

cubscout · 12/06/2018 10:41

Text from ds, Maths - 'good paper harder than paper 1 and 2 defo' - whatever that means!

LooseAtTheSeams · 12/06/2018 10:43

Peggy at the moment my house feels like it's covered in paper. DS's room doesn't look as bad as it did before half term but it's Not Good.

slinkyme · 12/06/2018 10:44

Mmzz - would love to know whether it's any different for the igcses - although as noble said not sure how they will be calculated for igcses. Can't imagine why it would be any different.

Mmzz- could you add Latin?

BlueBelle123 · 12/06/2018 10:45

cub what board?

hmcAsWas · 12/06/2018 10:45

Bluebelle - mine rarely is!

cubscout · 12/06/2018 10:46

Edexcel.

slinkyme · 12/06/2018 10:46

DD room definitely a mess of papers/folders/books. Will need a clear out so that she can return books to school. Will probably clear notes so that anything needed for 6th form can be kept for that and the ones she is not continuing with may keep some bits for DS - although not sure how useful that will be as he may have completely different boards plus each DC is different in terms of their learning styles.

BlueBelle123 · 12/06/2018 10:47

Thanks cub that's what DS has done but I won't find out until this evening as he has history this afternoon.
