Hi everyone, another nervous mother here, just found this thread. DD hasn't slept a wink and can't collect until 10am. She needs A's in Biology, Music and Chemistry to do her first choice of A Levels. I really feel for this generation, the pressure is immense. Congratulations to all those who have already collected! Looks like some amazing results so far.

situatedknowledge · 25/08/2016 09:13

DD has done brilliantly. A bit teary tbh. No sign of DD2s which was meant to be here by email by now.

derektheladyhamster · 25/08/2016 09:17

Yes he needed 6A's to stay for 6th form and A* in chemistry & biology.
He got a B in physics mock but thanks to Tassomai he got an A*.I'm interested in how everyone else who used Tassomai did?

derektheladyhamster · 25/08/2016 09:18

And we'll done to everyone! It's a bit like the results coming in for the Eurovision song contest!

ExitPursuedByABear · 25/08/2016 09:24

2A*s, 8As and 1B.

Yeah.

ShanghaiDiva · 25/08/2016 09:30

Great results there Exit!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/08/2016 09:31

Exit brilliant!

chocolateworshipper · 25/08/2016 09:35

Well done on the results so far. I am trying hard not to be jealous as we have to wait so long for the results. That's it - she's doing BTEC whether she likes it or not - won't have so long to wait in two years' time Wink

derektheladyhamster · 25/08/2016 09:38

Brilliant results exit!
DS has a migraine now - can't say I'm surprised!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/08/2016 09:38

7 A's
4 B's.

He's a bit disappointed at no A*'s.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/08/2016 10:01

Yay Exit and Still, both fab results!

Sitting in the car. Gulp.

situatedknowledge · 25/08/2016 10:02

Fingers crossed for you OYBBK.

chocolateworshipper · 25/08/2016 10:05

Good luck kitten xx

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 25/08/2016 10:06

I'm sitting in the car too. It's pissing down so I can't even get out and pace around.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/08/2016 10:07

Good luck Kitten I'm off for a run now.

2gorgeousboys · 25/08/2016 10:10

Well done everyone who's got results so far. DS is really pleased with his 6 Bs, 3Cs and a Distinction* although a little disappointed with a C in History as he was predicted a B but hoped for an A.

We've been to the shop for warm pastries for breakfast and are just about to make the phone calls to granny etc.

Ludoole · 25/08/2016 10:18

Ds got 4Bs and the rest Cs.
Hes a bit disappointed as he was predicted A's and B's but considering we lost his stepdad to cancer in December i think hes done really well. It could have gone completely pearshaped!

dowhatnow · 25/08/2016 10:26

Dd very pleased. Got an A in the one subject she thought she'd done badly in. She was worrried whether she would get the b necessary for 6th form. 2 A* 6 A's and 2 B's.

derek Her one slight disappointment was also the A where she was expecting an A* in food tech. OCR was hers.

HesMyLobster · 25/08/2016 10:26

DD got 3 As and 8 AStars!!!
Over the moon for her, she worked so hard and it's paid off!

Well done to all - so good to see so many happy posts! Wine

ShanghaiDiva · 25/08/2016 10:28

Congratulations on all the great results - well done to everyone!

FantasyAndHope · 25/08/2016 10:31

DD has mentioned how some friends parents have posted things on Facebook and her 3 friends 1 who didn't get what she wanted are fed up of it one parent has badly worded a post. Told her click unfollow just because she didn't get straight A's it doesn't matter she's got As in her chosen alevel subjects which is great

ExitPursuedByABear · 25/08/2016 10:39

Another expecting an A* in Food Tech but got an A. Although DD said the exam paper was not too good for her.

TheDrsDocMartens · 25/08/2016 10:43

3A* 4A 4B, v happy.

I wish I'd found this thread back in June! DS1 got 3As, 5 A's and 3 B's. He got an A in music which he's really chuffed about. I don't know where that comes from as DH and I are both tone deaf.
Congrats to everyone's DCs.
