The thread that got us all through the exams is now full so here's a new one to get us through the nervous wait for results

Well done to all our brave Y11s and wish every last one of them all the best

Morning everyone. I know for sure I wasn't this nervous for my own results! DD's school don't open until 10.30 Angry, and no email results, so a long wait here

Well done to those of you with results already in, and very best of luck to the rest of us

littledrummergirl · 25/08/2016 08:09

Like you I kept waking through the night. Dh has taken ds1 coffee and biscuits in bed and woken him up so hopefully he slept ok.
Just waiting for him to shower and dress so we can take him to school.

FantasyAndHope · 25/08/2016 08:10

Results are in 4As 3A's 1B in French and she thought she had failed
Good luck to everyone else DD is a bit sad as she feels she's failed her teacher with history as she got an A and had gotten A
's all year

FeckinCrutches · 25/08/2016 08:11

Well done!

HesMyLobster · 25/08/2016 08:14

Good morning all!
DD was up very early but seems calm (definitely calmer than me!)
Well Done to all dcs with results already in.
I'm off to work now to await The Text!
DD is walking to school with friends, they can't go til 9:30 though.

Thankyou to everyone on this thread (and the 3 previous ones!) for the support over this year - don't know what I'd have done without you all. I really hope today is a happy day for you all WineCakeFlowersStar

ShanghaiDiva · 25/08/2016 08:16

Well done to your dd Fantasy and Hope - excellent set of results!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/08/2016 08:20

aww F&H, she's done very very well indeed. The boundary between a and a* is tiny, so she mustn't berate herself. It's just the luck of the day so often.

It's difficult when they focus on the ones they didn't do as well as they'd hoped in, rather than the ones they did exceptionally well in.

MrSlant, of course it will be fine. It would be a wasted opportunity not to Pokemon.

Just two hours then I'll know. I didn't know time could go so slowly.

Wellywife · 25/08/2016 08:20

Ok. So I'm going to wake DS. GOOD LUCK to everyone.

raspberryrippleicecream · 25/08/2016 08:20

Well done to your DD Fantasy.

Prada that's brilliant, she is so young!

And well done to the other early birds.

DD can collect from 8 but is still asleep

FantasyAndHope · 25/08/2016 08:21

DD is over the moon as half of her teachers told her she would achieve nothing as she was too interested in socialising. I am very very proud
But guess what she wants as a treat....
Makeup!!

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 25/08/2016 08:27

Good to hear about happy DC.

DS1 is up and in the shower. He can't get his results til 10 at school. He kept getting up in the night and moving things around in his room. DH got quite cross at 2am (his room is directly above ours and we could hear him moving around). So I think he's really nervous. I'm going to take him in to school but he'll probably insist I wait in the car.

I feel sick. Sad

ShanghaiDiva · 25/08/2016 08:30

Step - I felt sick when ds got his results two weeks ago. Definitely was not so nervous when I got my results back in the early 80s.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/08/2016 08:36

I wish nerves tickled rather than make you feel sick.

truemovies · 25/08/2016 08:39

I wish nerves tickled rather than make you feel sick.

Gosh that would be equally worse wouldn't it?

derektheladyhamster · 25/08/2016 08:50

Phew.
A* in all sciences, maths, history & English language
A in Spanish & GERMAN!
B in further maths, English lit & surprisingly food tech where we were expecting A*!

He's into 6th form with the grades required for A levels Grin

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/08/2016 08:52

Congratulations derek what an achievement!

Ds3 is currently sat on the sofa, I want to tell him to bugger off and get them but am refraining ,

Icouldbeknitting · 25/08/2016 08:55

Fantasy well done and what a relief.

We all slept well, it was nice and cool here with the rain. The dog has provided a few days diversion by being ill and then last night I lost my Fitbit outside the house and DH lost an important bit of paper so we've not really had much time to dwell on results. It will be lunchtime before I can catch up with you all again, we are going out for breakfast afterwards with the friend I'm taking in for results.

There will be no pokemon for me in the school car park - there is no signal up there.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 25/08/2016 08:57

I'm much more nervous than I've ever been for any exam results of my own.

I'm not sure tickling would be an improvement.

Icouldbeknitting · 25/08/2016 08:57

Derek was it you that needed a run of A* to stay for sixth form? I know there was someone under massive pressure for the right results. Congratulations!

ShanghaiDiva · 25/08/2016 09:00

Well done to your Ds Derek - excellent results!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/08/2016 09:03

Derek, amazing!! Especially on the German. Well done to your ds.

dd is up now. Bacon and eggs on her lap and we are watching Frasier. She might want to get dressed before she collects her results!

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 25/08/2016 09:05

Well done Derek's DS. I hope everyone gets good news today.

FantasyAndHope · 25/08/2016 09:05

We're into sixth form and have got funding secured! Because her results are better than expected!
She still wants to resit maths for an A* she was predicted that

TheSecondOfHerName · 25/08/2016 09:06

DS1 got almost exactly what I predicted further up the thread!

TheDrsDocMartens · 25/08/2016 09:08

Well done all those so far.
Dd1 decided last night to go with friends today but now friends mum is going too. I want to go ( I've worked with a lot of her year group so want to see them too) but am torn between pushy parent & being only one not there.
