Well done to all our brave Y11s and wish every last one of them all the best

Thank you, OYNKitten. I am relieved as we had massive rows about him not doing any proper work. He needed 4A and 4B to stay on for sixth form and he's got those.

MargoReadbetter · 25/08/2016 06:32

I woke DS up as DH had set the alarm to get the email at 6 am. I'll be off to work shortly. Good luck everyone.

situatedknowledge · 25/08/2016 06:32

Morning all! I hope DD got more sleep than me. I keep forgetting (not in real life, just here) that DD2 has a result today too. She did a GCSE at twighlight class. The result for that will be emailed to her school account. Fingers crossed for them both. DD2 result won't affect anything at school, but with DD1 expected to get good results, we keep reminding DD2 that she was only 13 when she took her exam, so getting to the end of the course in her own time was a result.

marmiteloversunite · 25/08/2016 06:36

Morning all. Been awake since 4.30. Feeling a bit sick and nervous. Don't think I was this nervous for my own results. Three more hours to wait. DD hasn't appeared yet so I think she has slept ok.

GOOD LUCK ALL!

See you on the other side. Grin

BertrandRussell · 25/08/2016 06:41

Isn't it ridiculous how worried we get! Ds only has 1 GCSE and 1 BTec and they aren't actually significant in any material way and he will get the result by post tomorrow anyway- but I'm even nervous about that!

Good luck everyone who has real results to worry about!

ExitPursuedByABear · 25/08/2016 06:58

And it's still bloody raining.

DD sound asleep. Clearly not too concerned.

dowhatnow · 25/08/2016 07:14

Today's the day.... Only one hour and 2 minutes until dd's friend arrives so that they can get to school for 8.30.

NicknameUsed · 25/08/2016 07:16

We will be leaving at 9 to go for DD's results.

2gorgeousboys · 25/08/2016 07:18

Morning! Hope everyone managed to get some sleep? I was awake at 12pm, 2am and 3am then managed to get back to sleep for a couple of hours. DH has just brought me a cup of tea in bed before he goes off to work. DS1 is asleep so hopefully that means he managed to get some sleep, he was watching a film in bed at midnight hoping it might distract him enough to sleep.

We are heading off to school about 8:30am, even though DS can walk there, he wants me to come and wait in the car in case he needs me.

ExitPursuedByABear · 25/08/2016 07:20

I'm hoping for tea. It's not happening.

Pradaqueen · 25/08/2016 07:23

we have a result here by email. IGCSE Spanish. Grade C. Done very happy DD - it's her only entry this year and is not important, she just wanted to see what she'd get. Very proud!

2gorgeousboys · 25/08/2016 07:26

Watching BBC breakfast and they are about to do the obligatory opening of results live on TV. Think they will have the compulsory mix of the one who's done really, really well, the one who's not got what they need for sixth form or apprenticeship and the one who's overcome adversary! They've just been discussing the concerns about white working class boys being the demographic of most concern for results (great!)

NicknameUsed · 25/08/2016 07:27

DD's school won't email results. Post or going in person only. If the student can't make it the stand in has to have written permission from the student to collect them.

2gorgeousboys · 25/08/2016 07:27

Sorry Exit I can send virtual tea if you like? Brew

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/08/2016 07:29

Ds is still asleep, waking him at 8.

Well done those who've got their results already.

NicknameUsed · 25/08/2016 07:32

Just read that AQA don't do online results, and all of DD's subjects bar one are AQA.

FeckinCrutches · 25/08/2016 07:35

I've been up for hours, I feel all shaky and sickConfused I didn't think I'd be this nervous! Just heard DD alarm go off so I hope she's had some sleep.
Hideous rain here today so no hanging around after results to chat endlessly about what everyone got!

FeckinCrutches · 25/08/2016 07:36

Oh and well done to those who've had results already and good luck to those waiting!

derektheladyhamster · 25/08/2016 07:37

Still waiting for ds to wake. I've told him I'll wake him at 8 (he's not happy about that!)
I've been awake since 6. All my Pokemon are appraised, transferred or evolved and are in neat rows!

cloudyday99 · 25/08/2016 07:37

Morning all
Same here nickname And they won't let them get them til 10am. DSD should have been able to get hers by 6.30 online but she's at her mum's this week and I'm not sure what time would be reasonable to text her to ask. She did say she'd let me know so hoping it's not bad news that's putting her off.

MsMermaid · 25/08/2016 07:41

We'll done to those with results already.

Dd is still asleep, but I'll be walking her up in a minute, then we'll go in about 9. The problem is that she's going to her school and I'm going to mine so I'll have to rely on her texting me the results.

I'm also about to check my email for my classes results. I really hope they've done well.

Iwantacampervan · 25/08/2016 07:41

Good luck to everyone today. I think I'm the one more worried (and I've got to go through this next year again!)

I'm taking my daughter into school for 9am - I'll be lurking in the car park waiting for her to appear. She's not staying at the school sixth form so doesn't have to stay for enrolment, apparently we're going shopping afterwards! This evening a friend is having a belated birthday sleepover party so she'll be with company.
She's really looking forward to college and a new environment.

Wellywife · 25/08/2016 07:46

Had a lousy night (thanks DDog!). Unfortunately when I'm exhausted I tend to sound sarcastic. Of all days to be tired!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/08/2016 07:48

Double nerves MsMermaid!

Waking dd up at 8:45. She may as well sleep through her nerves if she is able. I'll make her some bacon and eggs I think.

I'll be rearranging my pokemon in the car while I wait.

MrSlant · 25/08/2016 08:02

Ooh, I hadn't thought of Pokemon! I haven't tried up by DS's school which is half way up a mountain big hill in the middle of no where. There's bound to be something exciting for me to catch. Because if I'm not allowed in school because it's embarrassing walking round the car park catching Pokemon will be fine won't it Grin.

I think I woke at 3, 4, 6 and allowed myself out of bed at 7. Not collecting DS1 until 9.30. Time is moving very slowly.
