Hi. I'm just interested to know if anyone has received any remarks back yet and if so, how long they took and what the outcome was? My DS has a AQA English Language in for remark and it is like waiting for the GSCE results all over again!!

Yep, still waiting too! Glad that I'm not the only one! Don't know for you, but it got to the point where both DD and I have moved on and we don't care so much any longer!

RandomSocks · 21/10/2015 17:41

Just got a result - DS's geography went up by 8 marks, which takes him way over the boundary for the next grade up. Very happy and wish we'd asked for more re-marks.

swingofthings · 21/10/2015 18:13

That's great news, well worth the wait! It went the other way around for DD, got marked 6 points down so remains at a B.

Still waiting ....

TheMightyMing · 21/10/2015 18:50

We got 12 marks on geography aca, going from b and a.

Still waiting too (GCSE English). It's ridiculous to have kept us waiting this long, and suggests they are doing a hell of a lot of remarks!

Which board and is it language or literature? Many of our local schools (private and state) have had odd cohort results for one or the other compared to other years and this is with different GCSE boards or iGCSE. Lots of remarks done including a free one for a whole year following the usual procedure.
From what I hear most are back but with very little grade change upwards.

QOD · 21/10/2015 22:20

I gcse new thing

TeenAndTween · 22/10/2015 08:00

Reading this I'm so pleased we didn't ask for DD's Eng Lit to be re-marked despite being only 2 UMS away from boundary. (We were worried about dropping to a fail). I don't think I could have stood the tension!

IndridCold · 22/10/2015 10:07

Sorry, I meant IGCSE, the board is Pearson.

ESD had a remark in AS English. It appears that they'd missed her additional pages. 2 grade increase. Quite a relief as she was so far off the expected grade!
It came back in the 3rd week of term I think; certainly before the end of September.

IndridCold · 11/11/2015 11:53

Is anyone else still waiting for English IGCSE? I have had to get DS to chase it up, but I read at the weekend that was some kind of fuss about one board's English exams this year.

Does anyone know what has happened?

QOD · 11/11/2015 17:29

Yes! I remembered that just today!

Not heard a word

QOD · 12/11/2015 17:14

QOD · 17/11/2015 20:31
