Hello again everyone, just reporting in after kind advice I got on here while dd1 was stressing over personal statement last weekend. Well she got it in, application was sent off at the beginning of the week. This morning she texted me from school worrying that she had chosen universities that were too hard to get into, would never get any offers, was going to come straight home and change all her choices etc. came home at lunch time and discovered she had got an offer from her favourite choice, warwick. So all smiles now and not worried whether she even gets any others. Just got to get the grades! Good luck to everyone else waiting.

webwiz · 07/11/2014 18:04

Well done to your DD Edie its great that some of the universities make lovely quick decisions.

Mumslife well done to your DD.

Mindgone · 07/11/2014 18:16

Fab news Edie :D

Littleham · 07/11/2014 18:22

Well done to little Edie. Mumslife- That was my dad with the offer for Royal Holloway (History)' same grades. Would be funny if they both ended up there! which is your dd's favourite?

We are going for the last RH offer day. Waiting to hear back from two, universities, but one will almost definitely be a refusal. Her favourite offer is York so far, but she may change her mind after the offer days so who knows? RH may be an insurance, but again that may change.

Wow mumslife, 3 offers in 3 days is brilliant!

DS's application was due to go off today but one of his teachers wants to add a nice little addition to his ref so it's going first thing Monday.
I have to take him in for 8am to send it. He needs all the help he can get so he doesn't mind waiting until then if her comments may help. Smile

Horsemad · 07/11/2014 20:41

Well done to your DD too Edie. DS has put Warwick on his list.

I think it's weird (in a nice way!) that some of our DC might meet each other at uni, when we've all been here stressing about their applications!!

Leeds2 · 07/11/2014 20:51

Well done to your DD, Edie.

AtiaoftheJulii · 07/11/2014 21:41

So great to hear fantastic news from Edie and mumslife Smile

Horsemad yes, I like that idea too Smile

Dd got a 4th offer, Bristol, AAB, so she's happy too this week.

MrsBartlet · 07/11/2014 21:46

Well done to all those with new offers. I do wish dd would get another one. She has 2 but as her Exeter offer is so ridiculous I feel like that doesn't count!

Leeds2 · 07/11/2014 21:59

Ha ha. MrsB!

Well done to all DC who have achieved offers.

Does anyone find out officially that they will not be getting an offer at this stage?

Littleham · 07/11/2014 22:02

Yes. If you look on student room there are some rejections coming through. It will update as unsuccessful on track.
