I think a lot of Glasgow businesses may avoid voting Green with the emission charges that are apparently coming in.

I honestly haven't decided who to vote for.

Never SNP. Never Green. Never Alba.

Sick of the Tories but pissed off with partygate and the energy bills scenario.

Used to be Labour but they don't know where they sit on a lot of issues anymore.

Lib Dems are disappearing.

Who's left?

WouldBeGood · 30/04/2022 19:42

Yep @JenniferAlisonPhilipaSue . At the moment I go to Glasgow once a month with DS for his haircut, a cafe and the music shop. Won’t be doing that when I can’t drive there.

What pisses me off most is the lack of decent castigation from the press for all the SNP/Green shit. I'm not saying that Boris etc shouldn't get the punishment for party gate but Sturgeon has been caught at least twice not wearing a mask and the Greens all met in a pub did they not? not counting all the other corruption and wasted money and incompetence.

If Boris had rushed into a burning building to rescue babies the press would be callin for his resignation for not having worn a mask, but in the SNP world no-one would rush in but it would be "it's unfortunate and lessons will be learned and it's all Westminster's fault anyway".

Blimeyherewegoagain · 30/04/2022 19:58

It’s the blatant lies I’m fed up with. I thinks she believes she’s untouchable now.

BinBandit · 30/04/2022 20:08

It's regrettable but she doesn't remember lying and in fact if that lie did exist then it can't be found anymore so lessons will be learned.

Blimeyherewegoagain · 30/04/2022 21:00

Mhairi Black drinking on the train
And this is apparently fine because she’s apologised, so it actually didn’t happen and you can be sure there’ll be no further action.

In fact, she hasn't apologised as such. "An SNP spokesperson said: "Mhairi has been reminded of the rules and apologises." So the spokesperson says she is sorry. Hmm She's another odious individual that I wouldn't tire of punching. You could insert any SNP representative into that though.

It really is one rule for us little people, isn’t it?

Escaped it for 26 months went to Palma Nova to visit a friend for 3 days. Felt a bit out of sorts when I got back today. Hugely strong positive LFT. Serves me right for leaving our shores lol Confused

imstilljenny2 · 30/04/2022 22:50

@hilbil21 no doesn't serve you right! You need to get out and live your life. I've worked in covid ICU since March 2020 and avoided it. Finally tested positive after a christening in Coatbridge last week so go figure 😂 Minimal symptoms.

hilbil21 · 01/05/2022 07:55

@imstilljenny2 I know what you mean. Just a bit annoying it got me in the end Smile

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 01/05/2022 08:13

I know what you mean @hilbil21 - I avoided it until just recently. But symptoms wise nothing more than a bad cold (grateful to be fully jabbed though).

Today I am railing against being harangued to wear a mask at a small visitor attraction yesterday because 'ScotGov strongly advise...' I very politely started with 'we don't wear them' but on and on she went. 🙄 We stood firm though!

Dinoteeth · 01/05/2022 13:22

@hilbil21 honestly i think its a matter of time before we all catch covid dodging it is probably like trying to dodge the cold or flu.

BinBandit · 01/05/2022 18:10

It doesn't take a mastermind but this is very well done.

KnitPurlKnitPurl · 01/05/2022 18:38

very clever. and so true.

RaraRachael · 01/05/2022 18:48

I've just spent the weekend in Glasgow and on numerous trains and I'd say about 5% of the population were wearing masks. On the train, the conductor said that they'd advise people to wear them, but nobody took any notice. A relative who works for Scotrail says that they're advised to keep wearing them "to show a good example" but nobody cares any more.

I actually felt truly normal for the first time in 2 years!

KnitPurlKnitPurl · 01/05/2022 19:40

We went into town on the train yesterday evening and nobody was wearing masks, substantially down on the 50/50 on the trains at the beginning of last week.

As it should be.

boobashka · 01/05/2022 23:53

@BinBandit Excellent video. Quite shocking what has happened to Scotland while she's been in power 😔

JenniferAlisonPhilipaSue · 02/05/2022 09:42

Great video

mapleleavesreturn · 02/05/2022 11:20

Hardly a mask to be seen in John Lewis in edinburgh today - feels so actually normal

RaraRachael · 02/05/2022 11:33

Great video - but will the SNP's record have any bearing on how people vote on Thursday? it bloody well should but, particularly where I live, there's the "I've always voted SNP" blinkered mentality that it difficult to change, even with the facts visible to all.

It should but I doubt it will. It's the "but Boris" or the "but Toaries" factor that keeps getting shoved down their gullet and they keep swallowing that keeps them at heel.

Why aren't they campaigning on the back of all their wonderful successes? Hmm I wonder....🤔

WouldBeGood · 02/05/2022 12:28

I was just about to say that @BinBandit , it’s just, “but the tories” !!!

I need to try to work it out but the aim is to defeat the SNP for me, however the Labour candidates went into coalition with the SNP here so I'm also disinclined to vote for them. Obviously not green so probably Tory or Lib dem. I need to work out how best to number my votes too.
