Thanks @dancemom

ResilienceWanker · 09/02/2022 17:49

Yes, thanks! I notice you'll be able to have weekends off soon as the SG are going to stop publishing figures at weekends "as we're in a calmer stage of the pandemic" (or some such wording). Which would be lovely if it corresponded with things like children not having to wear masks in schools, or parents being allowed into the building, and them not eating lunch in their classrooms and being able to have assemblies and so on... And not still being advised to limit gatherings and to test before going out to the shops. But I appreciate that's unlikely to happen. Much though I'm glad the poor NHS data folks who maintain the page (and our own dancemom of course Wink ) may manage to have a bit of time off, I'm wondering if our understanding of "calm" may be a bit skewed if it requires all these limits on what we're allowed to do!

ResilienceWanker · 12/02/2022 19:54

Whoops, sorry - that was me! Grin It's NEXT weekend they aren't reporting from... I just didn't read the page properly - They said this weekend was the last one they would report Blush Anyway, we're back to beginning of Nov hospital levels, though much lower ICU, which is great!

Looking good, that's lowest number in intensive care since July last last year.
That's the number that really matters

I am the 1. Without me there would be 5300. DH is not included as the text and e-mail bombardment was so frenetic that he opted out for reporting his positive test. Neither of us affected by work as - tragically - we are supposed to be in Portugal all week.

Ohhh.

This all explains why today's numbers aren't for the past 3 days! I wondered why today's weren't much higher until I read this thread. Mystery solved Grin

mibbelucieachwell · 14/02/2022 14:56

This weekend and next weekend confusion maybe?
So last weekend was this weekend and the weekend of 19th will be this weekend. Weekend of 26th is next weekend .

IKeptYouLikeAnOath · 15/02/2022 15:56

27 more people in hospital than yesterday? That's a bit of an anomaly.

mibbelucieachwell · 15/02/2022 16:20

Yes indeed. Are these added retrospectively for some reason? Confused

IKeptYouLikeAnOath · 15/02/2022 16:35

Definitely seems like some sort of catch up of backlogged data or something Confused

Just saw on the news that kids from 5-11 will be offered the vaccine

LizzieMacQueen · 16/02/2022 12:24

Oh. I'm not sure I agree with that. Didn't WHO say there was no health benefit for the 11-16 age group so why extend it? I'm glad mine are 18+ because i would not like to make that decision.

IKeptYouLikeAnOath · 16/02/2022 12:58

It seems to be the JCVI's recommendation
