94 fewer people in hospital with covid than 2 days ago.

ResilienceWanker · 03/02/2022 15:00

Yes, the hospital numbers are still looking good.

I think at some point the SG is going to start adding on reinfections like England/wales/NI is now doing. Wonder if that will affect the numbers significantly? It's becoming more and more difficult to compare how the 4 nations are doing comparatively, which wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't a bombardment of "we have fewer xx proportionately because of our protections", when it may well be that "we have fewer x proportionately because we're only declaring half of our infections to you..." I know the ONS data suggests that last week Scotland had fewer infections than the rest of the UK, which I do believe, but the difference seems to be pretty small, whereas the data on travelling tabby and the gov website suggests there is a much larger difference. And of course that's the data SG is going with... I'm happy things are declining everywhere, albeit slowly now... but wish it wasn't coming with the competitive background.

mibbelucieachwell · 03/02/2022 15:35

Re infections to be included "from later this month" according to NS.
PHS has data on this. I think I read that it's latest report put reported re infections at 10%. I'm sorry I can't remember where I saw that.

ResilienceWanker · 03/02/2022 16:09

Ah, thanks! Yes, I thought it was soonish but couldn't remember exactly when NS had said. The BBC was reporting 4% reinfections in total in England, but 10% for omicron which seems to tally anecdotally with what's been happening round us - so I don't see why it would be different here.
