@AlphabetAerobics

Hmm Booster AND mask AND LFT before a wee spin around Tesco?

Do one ya fanny.

My thoughts exactly!

What a pile of pish.

mibbelucieachwell · 23/11/2021 15:08

Oh! So all those people in the hospitality industry needn't have worried their little heads after all. That's alright then.

😂 elephant

I wonder if their threat of the passport being extended has done its job of encouraging even more take up of vaccinations? (Or put people off even more?)

Anyhoo, the SNP haven't made themselves unpopular by extending the passport and that's the main thing. Mine they shouldn't have mentioned it in the first place.

ecceromani · 23/11/2021 15:30

I think @ElephantOfRisk was the closest Grin

WouldBeGood · 23/11/2021 15:40

@ElephantOfRisk 🤣🤣🤣

Scottishskifun · 23/11/2021 15:50

😂 So she went with avoiding unpopularity in the end!

I'm glad they aren't being extended they are crap anyway unless it's for international travel then it's handy for the QR code for other countries.

Not sure why they had to play physiological warfare on the public, businesses and workers though!

Let's hope no more bright ideas come up prior to Xmas!

OnceUponAWhine · 23/11/2021 16:40

Once again, the Swinneybot was wheeled out to test the waters queen’s taster but herself is able to turn up for the ‘good news’. They’ve spent two weeks taking back control - or so they think- after the farce that was the ‘conference of no covid rules’. Just reminding us that at any point they can change these roooolz, if we’re not good boys and girls.

Was there any announcements re schools, masks at high school etc?

ecceromani · 23/11/2021 17:06

The only mention about masks was that there was no change to the mask mandate for at least another 3 weeks @OnceUponAWhine

@TeenTraumaTrials

Here Here titsintiers

I'm due to go to the theatre this weekend. It's something that's been rescheduled from June 2020. There's no danger I'm taking an LFT if I feel well and risk not being able to go.

Check before you go - lots of theatres have put their own checks in place and are asking for either proof of vaccine or a negative test. Theatre royal has had people LF testing at the door!
OnceUponAWhine · 23/11/2021 20:04

Testing at the door to allow you to sit in your paid-for theatre seat?! Really? Under what set of rules/rights do they have to ask you to test there and then? 🧐

Thanks @ecceromani so 3 weeks (read: tbc/reviewing the data etc, etc)

rookiemere · 23/11/2021 21:18

I had to show a NHS text to confirm a negative LF when I went to see Cabaret on opening night in London not so stealth boast. I mean obviously I could have just registered it without actually doing it , but for all I'm pretty blasé about catching covid it did make me feel safer as it was close together in the bar area and theatre.

Cismyfatarse · 23/11/2021 22:37

I am seeing Cabaret next week. Very excited. My stealth boast is my pal knows Eddie Redmayne so he might blow us a kiss.

rookiemere · 23/11/2021 22:40

It's amazing @Cismyfatarse Eddie Redmayne is incredible. I was less convinced by Jessie Buckley but the critics say she was amazing so what do I know.

I agree btw - we're living in an alternate universe now though! Time was that discriminating against/refusing entry to people on medical grounds was unthinkable. We've well and truly torn that rule book up 🤷‍♀️ Theatres are being very antsy, theyve introduced health passes off their own back, and I think theyre pretty much all doing it.

Hi hope you don't mind me asking but how do you get proof of negative lft. I know pcr but lft you do at home?
Tailendofsummer · 26/11/2021 22:38

You register it - scan the barcode on it and state what the result was. Then they text you to tell you what the result was Confused But useful for proof

Hmmm so the number of cases is about the same as last Sunday.

Number in hospital inching down but the number of people in intensive care has hardly changed for a few weeks.

Scottishskifun · 28/11/2021 14:25

It's probably got a lot to do with the storm many have been shut in Grampian for instance although it makes the numbers look good 😂
