@ecceromani I said on the local Facebook page that reindeer were known to be rife with Covid and they removed it as spreading misinformation 🤣
ecceromani · 22/11/2021 20:00

The reindeer probably couldn't get the facial recognition to work on their covid status app Grin

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 20:10

🤣

runningpink · 22/11/2021 20:11

I reckon if Queen Nic had the power of furlough again then we would be back in lockdown already.

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 20:14

I don’t say this lightly but I’m praying Boris stays as PM - reckon if he’s replaced we might all be doomed

TeenTraumaTrials · 22/11/2021 20:18

@Scottishskifun

I'm not cancelling any Christmas plans regardless of what they say. We were good little citizens last year and my FIL missed out on his last one spent with his grandchildren before he died this year. No way am I repeating cancelling plans for "the greater good" or whatever message they decide to put in a crappy advert!
That's awful. I'd feel exactly the same in your shoes. I just don't understand what they are seeing that indicates we need to do more.
titsintiers · 22/11/2021 20:35

They probably want to justify extending their emergency powers beyond March.

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 20:40

People will ignore it but that won’t help businesses and hospitality

Haudyourwheesht · 22/11/2021 20:43

If they introduce vaccine passports loads of folk will cancel their nights out too. It'll not be worth the (perceived) hassle.

Scottishskifun · 22/11/2021 21:36

@WouldBeGood

People will ignore it but that won’t help businesses and hospitality
Very true! DH said there are already concerns work wise about "how to get business buy in"..... He rightly stated why should they there isn't evidence to back it up but is evidence that it effects businesses...... Was proud of him!

@runningpink oh definitely if she had power of furlough nightclubs, softplays and anything with any amount of fun would be shut still!

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 21:43

Yep @Haudyourwheesht. And that affects the clothes shops, hairdressers, beauticians, bands, discus, food suppliers.. the list goes on

ecceromani · 23/11/2021 14:02

So what's everyone's bet on today's announcement?
Mine is extending vaccine passport to indoor events over certain size (?200)

mibbelucieachwell · 23/11/2021 14:07

I'll play.

Extending passports to restaurants after 6pm, pubs, theatres, cinemas so as to avoid further restrictions Hmm

And advising that "the virus hasn't gone anywhere" and to exercise "caution".

ElephantOfRisk · 23/11/2021 14:11

yep, extension of current restrictions to anywhere more than two people unless your name is Nicola and you own a red suit? Santa is currently declaring that he is trans and changed Nicolas to Nicola in order to flout the passport requirement so that he can visit as normal. The wee green imps in the Green party trying to inveigle themselves into the elf community despite no-one voting for them or liking them.

LizzieMacQueen · 23/11/2021 14:12

Does anyone know how long it takes for your booster to show on your vaccine app? 2 weeks? It's not on mine yet 6 days after I had it.

ecceromani · 23/11/2021 14:14

They won't show on app. There's no plan to put them on yet @LizzieMacQueen

titsintiers · 23/11/2021 14:15

Here goes......

LizzieMacQueen · 23/11/2021 14:16

Oh, thanks @ecceromani, so my passport won't expire 6 months after vacc'n no2? I really should research this myself.

dancemom · 23/11/2021 14:16

Negative test allowed instead of Vaccine passport from 6th Dec - no extension to other venues at this stage

TeenTraumaTrials · 23/11/2021 14:36

Asking people to LFT before any socialising including shopping

ecceromani · 23/11/2021 14:39

Get the booster
Get the booster
And I think she mentioned getting the booster

titsintiers · 23/11/2021 14:42

@TeenTraumaTrials

Asking people to LFT before any socialising including shopping
She can ram that
TeenTraumaTrials · 23/11/2021 14:47

Here Here titsintiers

I'm due to go to the theatre this weekend. It's something that's been rescheduled from June 2020. There's no danger I'm taking an LFT if I feel well and risk not being able to go.

AlphabetAerobics · 23/11/2021 14:47

Hmm Booster AND mask AND LFT before a wee spin around Tesco?

Do one ya fanny.
