I hate boris Johnson but christ you wouldn't want his job would you

Scottishskifun · 14/05/2021 18:00

@forfucksakenett

God you can derive a lot from an eye roll! Worship NS? A strange deduction.

My eye roll may have been a bit unfair. I couldn't follow what you were saying about NS at all. I've read it a few times and it's not very clear. I could be being unfair.

I'm saying that NS needs to look at vaccination rate and speed up the process including with second doses to tey and get things under control. There is also no door to door testing in Glasgow so the problem is unknown. England deploys rapid testing to effected areas, units, army etc and does door to door! Just announced shorter time period for second doses for over 50s and at risk so more people will be protected from hospital.

If you don't know the state of a problem then you can't fix it. A simple stay in tier 3 for Glasgow and please seek a test is like papering over the cracks. You need testing and vaccines to break through it!

RedcurrantPuff · 14/05/2021 18:04

I'm sure she gives a shit. Way to go to insult a whole bunch of totally innocent folk though

She plainly gives a shit about nothing than furthering the cause of independence.

Not sure I have insulted tons of folk. A lot of the area where the FM’s constituency is is a dump. A lot of my constituency is a dump as well. Not sure why people would take that as a personal insult. In any event is insulting people on MN better or worse than trashing their businesses and livelihoods at a moments notice? I’m sure that £750 she’s giving to pubs and restaurants will go really far in recouping their lost revenue.

forfucksakenett · 14/05/2021 18:07

@Scottishskifun ah I see. Yes I actually agree with you. They should be targeting the affected areas with testing and vaccination.

traintraveller · 14/05/2021 18:09

Does that mean no one on mainland Scotland is allowed to leave their council area this weekend? Or is it just from Monday that those in Moray and Glasgow can't? Does anyone know if this will be guidance or legislation.

ResilienceWanker · 14/05/2021 18:10

@ssd

That postcode checker hasnt watched the news
Oh God! Sorry... I hadn't checked. But that's what the link on the website connects to... see my ongoing rail on the railing threat re the general crapness and inconsistency of the SG website
ssd · 14/05/2021 18:10

I just heard on rhe news rhey will do door to door testing in pollockshields and ramp up the vaccine there 🤞🤞

MWestie · 14/05/2021 18:10

I'm due to travel up from England in a week to stay near Glasgow, in a G postcode, but not in Glasgow.

Do you think this will still be possible? Has any clarification been given, does anyone know, whether it's just Glasgow city or suburbs included?

Although I suppose even if it's okay I'd still technically have to drive through Glasgow in level 3 to get to where I'm going if it's stayed level 2 Confused

florafoxtrot · 14/05/2021 18:12

But they have been increasing testing and vaccinating in Moray? There are mobile test centres in a few larger towns and walk in centres for vaccination.

Hopefully the same will follow in Glasgow although appreciate its significantly harder with a much larger population.

Boris will backtrack and lie without a second thought.

ssd · 14/05/2021 18:12

Not sure really

Its all clear as mud

forfucksakenett · 14/05/2021 18:13

Although to be fair Humza tweeted earlier that they were going in with mass testing and attempting to accelerate the vaccine.

Looks like your post was perhaps hopefully a bit unfounded @Scottishskifun

EvilOnion · 14/05/2021 18:13

@RedcurrantPuff to you it's a "shite hole". To others it's their home. It matters to them. Can you really not see why some people might feel insulted by that? Hmm

ssd · 14/05/2021 18:14

Just realised i used to live in kenmure st where the protest was yesterday. Id forgotten. Christ im old.

EvilOnion · 14/05/2021 18:18

On a side note I'm intrigued by the idea that Moray has been widely acknowledged as mainland throughout the pandemic yet delivery companies either don't deliver or charge extortionate fees because it was classed as Highlands and Islands 🤨

ssd · 14/05/2021 18:18

Calling somewhere a shitehole is a total insult. So what if you feel you live in , thats up to you but dont insult others.

Yeah I think you'll be fine. Glasgow City is different from the other outside areas with a G postcode.
naemates · 14/05/2021 18:32

My bookings for gym classes are gone alreadySad

ssd · 14/05/2021 18:35

But gyms are open in level 3

MWestie · 14/05/2021 18:39

@StarryEyeSurprise thanks, I do hope so, still a bit unclear

Let's hope so and they speed up protecting people! Prefer to be wrong and the SG pull their finger out quickly to protect people!

Everyone is at the end of their tether with lockdowns feel very sorry for the people of Glasgow!
Moray should hopefully continue declining and be out of tier 3 shortly but Glasgow is more complicated and slow.

ssd · 14/05/2021 18:46

I think what makes it worse is people had a real sense of hope.

WouldBeGood · 14/05/2021 18:49

This is now psychological warfare

Tuesday: great, open up!

Friday: doom! Lockdown

ssd · 14/05/2021 18:53

Didnt England schools open up one monday then close on the Tuesday?
Its all nuts

forfucksakenett · 14/05/2021 18:53

@Scottishskifun 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yes! And then they claimed it was because every day of schooling counts and it wasn't at all an embarrassing u turn.
