We're all staying at home with our symptomless covid. Everyone still well so far.
I'm choosing to be cheerful about the fact that we can't go anywhere. Don't have to force the kids up and out, don't have to make us all go on a fun family walk. We can just lie around at home.
Probay wont be so cheerful by day 6 or if any of us actually gets sick....

dancemom · 02/04/2021 12:44

Chores this morning, beds stripped, third load of washing on, ironing and hoovering done, kitchen cleaned.

Going for a walk this afternoon with a friend and probably just tv and sofa tonight.

Gutted a lovely bank holiday is being wasted, so many places we could be visiting or family and friends we could be seeing 😕

Everyone off work / school here so we've been for a chilly morning walk in the sunshine, drove to a local out of town wooded area with birds singing. It was really nice, no one complained!

Back.home for bacon butties.

Put washing out. More chores this afternoon.

The police in Edinburgh are definitely out and about and checking licence plates. A friend was pulled over today as their MOT ran out 2 days ago.

Coquohvan · 02/04/2021 18:10

Our T&P system has been handed over to two Private Companies worth £6M
Acensos & Go-Centric. Hope fully they’ll make a better job of it than it has been, up till now it’s been diabolical.

rookiemere · 02/04/2021 18:39

Apparently police are going to be out in force in East Lothian stopping us foul Edinburgers from spreading our covidy germs around except hardly anyone in Edinburgh actually has covid.

A police car drove round Lauriston grounds today when I was there with a friend, perhaps they were hoping to apprehend some toddlers not practicing social distancing or perhaps they were there to pick up cup cakes from the Mimis Bakehouse concession- who knows.

Haudyourwheesht · 02/04/2021 20:00

Everywhere was really busy today. I didn't buy Easter hats or baskets in advance apparently they're compulsory now so had to go a trawl round the empty Easter displays in the local shops, and I was surprised how busy all the shops were. I wonder if the lifting of the stay at home message has had an impact? I assumed that everyone was just pottering about like I was, going to all the places that were open regardless of the essential nature of the the shop, but maybe not.

RaspberryCoulis · 02/04/2021 23:33

Agree that it was busy today. We went - illegally - across the border into Stirlingshire and had a lovely walk in the woods, it was very quiet but all along the road there were loads of parked cars, people obviously out walking in the hills. Milngavie was HEAVING, partly roadworks, but lots of traffic.

Past caring tbh. Hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine.

Hospital figures don't get reported on the weekend/holidays?

Thanks Dancemom - I come here to check the numbers most afternoons Grin

Replays · 05/04/2021 14:27

Found the answer

Over the Easter Weekend, limited data is being released. Therefore the following will not be updated again until Tuesday the 6th of April: the number of people in hospital and ICU, cases and deaths by specimen date / age group / council area, the number of individual people tested, the 7 day positivity rate, and vaccinations by age group / type.
