Spoke to a friend in England and obviously she was looking forward to things opening up etc, while the wait goes on for us ,and for no good reason as far as I can see

Lots of footage on breakfast news this morning of things opening up in England .
Even Wales are ahead of us
Haven''t had my jag even tho I'm 54,we seem so far behind England on this

Feeling really depressed seeing all the English people going to beauty spots and the Welsh people being able to holiday in Wales. It's 2020 in Scotland all over again. Fat lot of good it did us then and fat lot of good it's doing us now.

Perhaps it is because our numbers are higher than Englands per 100,000 now, but this is despite having a harder lockdown for longer and because Scotland is dragging its feet with vaccinating people.

I heard a horrific story that at the EICC they were only doing 10 vaccinations per tube even though you can generally get 12 and possibly 13 doses out of it, and the excess was being thrown away.

Cismyfatarse · 29/03/2021 13:47

I got my vaccine yesterday and am currently lazing around with something a bit like jet lag.

It is the closest thing to going abroad I have had in ages.

Thanks @dancemom seems like a move in the right direction although Sunday numbers always lower, good to see hospitalisations and ICU cases continue to dwindle.

UnderHisAye · 29/03/2021 16:29

@Cismyfatarse same here and I feel like shit.

dancemom · 29/03/2021 16:38

@Cismyfatarse @UnderHisAye I'm starting to feel grotty 🤒

Cismyfatarse · 29/03/2021 16:47

Just shattered. But DH was necking paracetamol and none needed here so far.

rookiemere · 29/03/2021 16:51

Hope you all recover soon. Got mine Wednesday lunchtime and work is pretty busy Wed pm/ Thu so hoping I'm not too knocked out by it.

WouldBeGood · 29/03/2021 17:01

I got mine on Saturday and have been absolutely fine. Slightly sore arm when I move it, nothing else

Bytheloch · 29/03/2021 18:13

From the Courier
John Swinney deleted evidence of another SNP Covid breach on the campaign trail as the government minister responsible for setting the rules was “spoken to” by police over a separate incident, we can exclusively reveal
www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/politics/scottish-politics/2083186/exclusive-swinney-deletes-covid-breach-evidence-as-snp-minister-spoken-to-by-police/

Stay at home, folks🤣

TheShadowyFeminist · 29/03/2021 18:45

Wonder if Sturgeon still thinks it's a good idea to make the election all about Covid?

I was also just thinking - wonder if Margaret Ferrier will sign up to Alba?

TheShadowyFeminist · 29/03/2021 18:45

Sorry, wrong thread 😬

WouldBeGood · 29/03/2021 18:46

So Swinney is dishonest as well as a dick.

I could have a whole thread just railing about him

Scottishskifun · 29/03/2021 20:29

😂 The halo definitely seems to be slipping or as my mum said to me as a teenager do as I say not as I do......

Anyone else finding it comically funny that the new yet approved glaxo vaccine is to be bottled at a facility in Barnard Castle?!

I was so happy the day I saw DC leaving with a cardboard box!

I honestly think rather a lot of prominent SNP members would be quite happy to prevent Scots from travelling more than 15 miles from their place of birth and having only a basic education to prevent us from wanting more out of life.

Icannever · 29/03/2021 21:58

I had my vaccine last Friday, had an awful day on Saturday, all my bones ached, exhausted and just rubbish feeling. Paracetemol helped but I was feeling better by the evening so less than one day of symptoms. Hopefully everyone who’s his had their vaccines will feel better tomorrow 😊

ResilienceWanker · 30/03/2021 08:49

Yes, hope those of you suffering from vaccine side effects are feeling better today. It seems really odd how some people are very badly affected and some not at all. Jet lag I could cope with I think, but not keen on being bedbound!

UnderHisAye · 30/03/2021 09:15

I was only out of bed for about three hours yesterday. Feel better today, though not totally.

I'm just so fucking grateful that's its vaccine side effects though.

HadEnoughOfBears · 30/03/2021 09:27

Sorry to all of you who are suffering from vaccine side effects or the dreaded Covid itself. Hope you're all on the mend soon.
Am supposed to have 1st vaccine on Sunday, hopefully it won't be too bad.

Covid update from the FM at 12 today.

You do realise the SNP want Scotland back in the Erasmus scheme?
