Don't get Wine on the new carpets Grin

morethanpotatoprints · 22/05/2015 17:11

hello, seems weird now, not sure if I like it. Grin
Just kidding

Scout19075 · 22/05/2015 17:14

Shiny....

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 22/05/2015 17:14

It'll be better when more people turn up, morethan - it's just like that early stage of the party when only 3 people are standing in the hall looking a bit lost.

Have some Wine and Cake.

So what have you been up to today.
Are the kids on holiday now?
We went shopping for school uniform and PE kit today to pick up any bargains as it is so long since we had to buy any and I can't afford it all at once.

I bought 2 pairs of girls trousers from M&S best fit for dd, after trying BHS and Debenhams. 2 Polo shirts and other related PE kit and accessories and I'm done now.
Oh, a pillow as she has to take her own bedding.
Need to find out about matress toppers, never used one of these before neither.
So as you can see another day spent on dd Grin who didn't appreciate it at all, as she was tired as not sleeping well.

morethanpotatoprints · 22/05/2015 17:26

I'll take the Cake but alas the Wine would make me ill.
Wouldn't mind a pint of Stella though

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/05/2015 17:26

This is great. Are we allowed to report anyone who's mean and nasty about us on this thread? Grin.

Snozwanger · 22/05/2015 17:31

Ooh, interested to see what crops up on here. Been feeling a bit lonely in RL being the only SAHP amongst the mummies I know.

SmallBoy and I went to soft play with other HE friends. Lovely four hours spent with friends and SB was a sweaty mess by the time we left.

SB and are off to the States this weekend for my grandmother's funeral and we'll stay for a few weeks. Sadly MrScout can't come with us. I'm excited to see my family immediate and extended even if the circumstances are less than ideal.

Oh!
Hello!

JugglingFromHereToThere · 22/05/2015 17:35

Ooh, looks nice here though, even just in the hall!
As I said at end of the great campaign thread I'll have to come over here inspired by the heart warming Irish referendum today to say ....

SAHP and proud! (ATM and mostly - apart from a teeny bit of home tutoring)

And to put kettle on for a brew Brew
Maybe pop a few Irish tattie scones on the griddle

And to say how's your day been?
I'm knackered as dd had Eng lit GCSE this morning
And this afternoon was panicking about getting her art sketch book in by the end of the day for half-term dead-line - did so with a minute to spare as bumped into her teacher just coming out of the art room and heading home for the week.

As dd thoughtfully said "You did have a busy day yesterday too Mum. Maybe that's catching up with you as well?"
I actually did some of my own stuff yesterday but honestly I think watching dd today has been just as knackering Grin

What you been up to?

PicaK · 22/05/2015 17:36

Just 1 thread! Have to post so I was there at the start. It's amazing to be somewhere I don't have to feel defensive or be super alert to a whop taking my sheer existence as some kind of criticism. Hope it doesn't turn into a bun fight though....

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 22/05/2015 17:37

How long are you going to stay out there, Scout? Hope it's not all too awful. x

Today we took Ds1 (7) to school and then DS2 (2.7) and I went shopping. He wanted to go to "kids and toys" (his words for playgroup) but there wasn't one on today, only Tues and Thurs mornings, so shopping it had to be. He coped - he was allowed to walk free in some of the shops, and was having fun asking "this way?" "That way?" around the aisles. Amazingly, he went where I told him to. This was A Bonus. Grin

Hello! Didn't know this was happening....

I've been a SAHM for 8 and a bit years. Youngest starts school in August though ....

TheTravellingLemon · 22/05/2015 17:41

Hello! I'm currently knee deep in little trains and cars. Someone give me some of that Cake sharpish, I can't wade through all these toys to get it myself

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 22/05/2015 17:43

DH gave DS2 back a truckload of toy cars this eve. I wasn't best pleased - he likes to spread them all over the rug, face down so they're invisible until you tread on them. Hmm

I didn't realise there were so many sahp on here. I did comment on the thread about this. I'm not entirely convinced it but hello hello hello everybody.

Deux · 22/05/2015 17:44

Budge up. I'm coming to the party. Wine. Mind you, prefer gin.

Here's my day.

Spent the day trying reorganise the spare room for visitors on Sunday. Despite doing the Kondo thing elsewhere I've managed to avoid the room of doom. So another big clear out planned for after half term. Binned loads and dropped off 10 kgs worth of clothes at one of those cash for clothes type places.

Laundry hung out x 2.

Also volunteered at the school for an hour or so.

I'm now trying to find somewhere for extraneous crap to live until I get a chance to sort through it.

Chin, chin. Smile

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 22/05/2015 17:49

Deux - you need some of these www.amazon.co.uk/Happy-Jackson-Large-Oversized-Random/dp/B00BBX898A Grin
I bought a couple when I was over in the UK, but not from Amazon, I got them cheaper from a gifty homewares shop - they're brilliant!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 22/05/2015 17:52
