My day - done eleventy million loads of washing as we got back from hols yesterday. Then trip to shops to get ds an outfit for his cousins christening. Success, achieved within ten minutes of arrival. Had lunch in subway, failed to buy christening present. Can't be bothered with trinket type things as they just collect dust. Am thinking books or clothes!
Ds has had two toilet accidents involving poo on bath mat and wee on sofa. Roll on bedtime!

StupidBloodyKindle · 22/05/2015 17:57

Hello! I bring Cake and Brew. Can I join you lot please? .
Has been a shitty week as 2 and 4 year old both sick with a virus and a streaming cold.
Four year old did vomageddon at 3am and the two year old keeps saying mouth mouth (both have sore throats too).
I normally go to a kids group on Fridays and speak to humans but have seen noone all week and survived with mn.
Too sick to go today. Also the 2 year old was being told no more boobs, and my milk was just starting to dry up when he has come back for milk with a vengeance as he is not eating so I am now sore and hacked off, and he is frustrated and inconsolable. Neither are eating properly and I tried watermelon in vain to keep their fluids up.
Fortunately it's Eurovision tomorrow - unfortunately, I have just killed the thread.
My 13 year old has a bday celebration on Sunday but I am allowed nowhere near it as she doesn't want it wrecked by her siblings. But I ordered her a cake today. She's going to see Pitch Perfect 2 with jer friends then pizza.
Done bugger all else except build a lego friends kit which will end up being taken apart, strewn and the instructions lost. Sorry for the vent. Hands out more Cake

Deux · 22/05/2015 18:02

I love the Random Crap bag. Thanks for the link. I reckon 15 would get me going.

Must say though. Fingers to lips and say ssshhh. OK, I'm whispering now. My DCs are at school.

Chin up and have a good vent to those with little ones at home.

Deux · 22/05/2015 18:04

I don't mean DCs are at school right now, but are school age. So I'm one of those, y'know.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 22/05/2015 18:04

Where have you been on your hols katienana if you don't mind my asking?
How about a Nursery rhyme book for a christening pressie? Or of course there is so much to choose from in Children's Literature these days - I always think a book makes a lovely and very keepable present though Smile

StupidBloodyKindle · 22/05/2015 18:07

thumb the problem is, currently, I could fill twenty random crap bags with random crap Blush
I am now a pillow. Baby (2 but still my baby) has fallen asleepbon me. He's burning up so it's like having a warer bottle.
Have only got paracetomol suppositories, hate inserting them.
If I try to move he's going to wake up but I'm beginning to cramp. DH has been sent directly from the office to the supermarket so hopefully he will bring me back a muffin or I will have to kill him, reasonable

StupidBloodyKindle · 22/05/2015 18:10

Sorry for typos, one handed.

morethanpotatoprints · 22/05/2015 18:13

Hello myname
of course you are welcome. Anybody can post if they want to.
I hope that sahps will be welcome on wohp topic if they have something to contribute.

Its just if somebody has something specific to whichever subject they should be able to post friendly like without a bun fight.

Stupid I hope the bug clears up soon, it's horrible when one starts isn't it.
I can remember it going through us all when dc were little. I haven't seen Pitch Perfect the first one, is it any good or better for kids?

PottyLotty · 22/05/2015 18:16

I feel Like I've won the lottery by getting our very own board. I've never belonged on a specific board before runs outside to dance in the rain Grin

TwartFaceBeetj · 22/05/2015 18:20

Hellllllllllloooooooo

Looks loverly in here.

I've been a stay at home mum on an off for nearly 13 years, even with most of my part-time jobs I still felt like I was a stay at home mum.

Today, school run, then rode, taken dc to doctors appointment, then to try and make Friday night special, did a treats shop with dc1, so I've put a Chinese meal for two on, mini pizzas and chips for dc, individual pudding from the patisserie. we'll watch a family film with doritos and popcorn later.
Can you tell it's payday

JugglingFromHereToThere · 22/05/2015 18:22

Ahh, looking like this was a good idea Potty though early days of course - first one even Smile

Minisoksmakehardwork · 22/05/2015 18:24

. Liking the new topic :)

I'm sahp to 4. Dd1(rapidly approaching 7), ds1(5) and dts, aka dd2 and ds2(3).

Bigs are obviously at school. Twins do 15 hours a week preschool each and alternate a sleepover with nana and grandad each week. I get a whole 2 days where I've no DC during school hours. And plenty of people who seem to think I'm a lady who lunches. Dh included at times...

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/05/2015 18:26

Hello!

I feel like an interloper because I really want to work, but can't figure out holiday childcare. Nice to see a topic where SAHPs (hopefully) aren't demonised....

HoggleHoggle · 22/05/2015 18:27

Hello! Am SAHM to 17 month ds. Am finding it very challenging at the moment and am the only SAHM amongst my circle. It's nice to realise other people do it too!

StupidBloodyKindle · 22/05/2015 18:28

You have been lucky potato, tis a teens film, slightly better than glee/high school musical/ camp rock, with college choirs singing in comp and one singer is very confident about her size and calls herself Fat Amy.
My eldest (8 year age gap) relates to her and adored The Cup Song.
So it us average fayre for 13 year old girls who like to call each other 'pitches' Hmm Confused

StupidBloodyKindle · 22/05/2015 18:34

Juggling
Your eldest sounds thoughtful. Do they still do Of Mice and Men?
My biggest struggle atm is juggling puberty with toddler jealousy with terrible twos. Am dropping all the balls.
What's everyone having for tea?

Arsenic · 22/05/2015 18:35

I was going to visit both boards, but WOHP is still untouched. Spooky over there.

Cherrypi · 22/05/2015 18:35

I'm a WAHM where's my board? Wink Was the WOHM one opened at the same time?

myneighbourtotoro2 · 22/05/2015 18:36

Oh hi everyone . I'm a sahm to dd 2 and ds 8 mo . As of late I have been nothing but knackered at all times. I'm the only one of my friend group too. Tis lonely sometimes

Arsenic · 22/05/2015 18:37

I'm a WAHM on the brink of not WAHMing Cherry. This might provoke an identity crisis Grin

ThursdayLast · 22/05/2015 18:37

Oh hello Smile

I have a single 2yo DS. Currently out on a walk with his dad.

StupidBloodyKindle · 22/05/2015 18:39

You should have a board too Cherri! Hats off to you, my other half occasionally works from home but we make it a nightmare for him. Do you work when kids are asleep/at kindy or are you constantly interrupted? by your other half demanding a muffin

HoggleHoggle · 22/05/2015 18:41

myneighbour I've made loads of effort over the last 6 months to go to groups etc so we we do one every day now, otherwise I worry I would hardly see any adults! I've not made any 'real' friends but it's nice to have the interaction! All my NCT friends went back to work so don't see them as much now.

How are you finding having 2? We're about to start thinking about a second, but ds was/is a handful so not sure I'm ready yet!

StupidBloodyKindle · 22/05/2015 18:41

The deletion message on that masturbating when he's asleep thread is inspired.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 22/05/2015 18:42

I've just been thinking, in my circle of very close friends, I'm the only sahp. But there are only 3 of us with DC anyway.

In my village, most of the mums seem to be sahp. Or at least a considerable chunk are. We have the perennial problem of finding childcare here. Most people use nurseries near/in the way to their work. But once DC start school there is no child care in the village. The before/after school club runs sporadically. It was cancelled at Xmas because there weren't enough attendees to make it viable. There is only one minder and because she has hers and her dp's own school age children which is higher than the allowed ratio, she only looks after preschoolers or younger.

I became a sahp when the twins arrived because childcare for them alone was more than my wage. Made sense for me to be at home and be all domesticated!
