We could have a who's the hairiest competition. I think I might win because I have a lot of hair (on my head and everywhere else as losing hair big time since having dd).

HappyWoman · 25/11/2009 18:44

I have very hairy legs at the moment - but i am sure i shall keep them covered .

Diormissesyouall · 25/11/2009 19:13

I need to shave my legs too HW (TMI). How are you getting there? Want to get the train with me? If we were to travel back together, I could spare Tanee my snoring...

HappyWoman · 26/11/2009 07:15

Dior

I am going up on the train earlier in the day. I will have all the dc with me too as we are going to stay over. DD has been invited to DH work for a christmas party.

you are welcome to share the train with us but if you dont have dc with you i would advice sitting in a seperate carriage.

Lilyloo · 27/11/2009 22:57

Have lovely time all am way too far to meet you all , did make a coventry meet with my post natal group but that was a trek!

How is everyone getting on ? Don't save it all for the meet as i can't come All 'ok' here. Am not sure 3 dc is going to be any different for a while yet. DD2 is alos hitting the terrible twos at the minute so getting lot's of days where i feel like a s**e parent too! Especially when she cranks it up at school time After dd1 said to me today why do you have all them black bits )need to get my hair coloured again) i know i need some 'me' time

Anniegetyourgun · 28/11/2009 08:50

I ain't very hairy, although I am a sturdy build (for which read "stout") and did used to ride a motorbike (er, grammar?).

lilybubble · 28/11/2009 19:50

Hello ladies
Lovely to find this thread after all this time, I haven't been on MN is just ages.

Ginnny thanks for the note about the meet-up on 21st, which I'd love to come to - with dd if that's ok? Will be so lovely to see you all again.

Sorry to see that things don't seem that good on the whole, but the new babies are lovely news. Let's hope that 2010 brings us all some much-needed better times.

Been a bit of a year for me. My lovely dad passed away in July - he'd been ill for some time with cancer. Still can't really believe it. So obviously it's been horrible, and trying to support mum has been really difficult too.

As for men, we still haven't divorced, but am getting on well with xh, and all's good there. He is still with slutguts the other woman, which is fairly remarkable, but most importantly, he is a pretty good dad to dd. Even so, not had any money from him in 18 months now!

So, have been lying low mainly, which suits me fine. Hopefully i might be able to keep up with things on here a bit more now!

Lilyloo · 28/11/2009 20:35

Hey Lily lovely to see you
sorry to hear about your dad I have been away from here for quite a while , but still on mn!

ladylush · 28/11/2009 23:04

Sorry to hear about your dad lilybubble Hope 2110 is a happier year for you.

ladylush · 28/11/2009 23:04

2010

ginnny · 29/11/2009 17:25

Sorry to hear your sad news Lilybubble.
So glad you can make it on the 21st.
I'm getting quite excited!!!

Tanee58 · 30/11/2009 15:25

Hi Lilybubble, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. But so pleased that you can join us. That makes 12 including dcs

I have booked a table at Fire & Stone for 12 for 5.30pm on the 21st - they couldn't do a large booking for 6pm or later, because of Christmas I expect, but 5.30 should be ok especially for those of you with dcs and we can go somewhere else afterwards if we want to or hang around in the bar. Last time we were there, they didn't chuck us out after 2 hours but you can never tell, so close to Christmas.

I've just found they only do the 2 for £10 offer on parties of up to 6. Bums. But we should still be able to get 10% off our bill with my loyalty card.

HappyWoman · 30/11/2009 15:44

Tanee - 5.30 may be a bit early for me - dd has a xmas party to go to and i will then have to make sure h has finished work and then get across to you. Will talk nearer the time though.

ginnny · 30/11/2009 15:58

I'm sure I'll be able to get there for 5.30. (trains permitting!!)

Tanee58 · 30/11/2009 16:05

Sorry HW - that was the latest booking they could take - either that, or 8.30 pm which I thought might be too late for most of you with dcs. But we will still be there until 7.30 at least. What do the rest of you think? We could try elsewhere, but it's just that places for big parties do get booked up in the week before Christmas. I could change it to 8.30 but would need to know very quickly!

Anniegetyourgun · 30/11/2009 19:08

Gosh no, if we start at 8.30 and take a couple of hours DS4 and I wouldn't get home till midnight, and with work/school the next day... #shudder# My vote therefore goes for the earlier time, provided of course that people actually can get there for it.

Getting this awful superstitious feeling that as I've gone on so much about meeting, Malign Fate will somehow step in to stop me going. She better not!

ladylush · 01/12/2009 10:42

Earlier time better for me. Annie - won't your dc be on school hols by then?

HappyWoman · 01/12/2009 11:21

no thats fine - i just may have to turn up a bit late! And if you are already on the pudding all the better .

The time will be fine - just that i may have to miss the starters.

Anniegetyourgun · 01/12/2009 13:26

Oops, yes, he will. Breaks up the previous week, of course.

Hands orf my pudding, HW!

Diormissesyouall · 01/12/2009 13:28

Sorry girls, h not off until the next day. I don't want to be coming home on the train at whatever time with an 8 year old. I would feel a bit weird. He would love to meet you all, and I would love to be able to see you all again, it is just the travelling on my own

ladylush · 01/12/2009 13:30

Dior - shame you can't come Do any of us live near you/could travel back with you?

Annie - no worries, type of thing I would forget too

Tanee58 · 01/12/2009 13:31

Oh Dior, noooo! Why would you feel weird? We would love to see you and DS would have the other DCs to entertain.

ginnny · 02/12/2009 10:18

Hi Dior - It did cross my mind that I'd have to be getting the train back at night with DS1 but we won't be leaving really late and there will be lots of people about for Christmas shopping etc. Tbh I wouldn't even attempt it with both of them but ds1 is older now and quite sensible (more so than me actually
Could you come earlier and leave earlier like me?

Diormissesyouall · 02/12/2009 13:36

Hmm, I suppose I could - he WOULD love it. As long as I leave around half seven, it should be ok. I would have prefered a daytime though as two hours is just not enough chatting time

ginnny · 02/12/2009 15:00

I know what you mean!
Luckily for me the restaurant is just across the road from Charing Cross station and I don't have to get the tube so it is just over an hour 'door to door'.
