Last night had a few drinks with dhs mate and dh at home. All fine, come 12am another friend turns up.
I said I'm off to bed due to dc. Expected dh to be a hour or so no more.
Been kept awake all bloody night by the noise, miracle how dc slept through.
By then it was 6am and I heard dh trying to tell them to go he was tired and ready for bed. One of the friends was saying they needed to stay till they could get in their house till 8am.
By 7am I went down and could see dh exhausted, so I told them both to basically leave now we have dc to get up too soon.

One of the friends was annoyed with dh as the other latched onto them, they could easily of said they were going to bed and goodbye! Dh apologised but heard nothing else.

Am I in the wrong here?
And yes I am very tired and annoyed. Dh has gone to bed and I haven't managed to sleep a wink and I have a extremely busy week ahead. Angry
Just to say we in London so plenty of places open!

I agree - probably best that you didn't procreate by the sounds of it.

Yes, selfish people shouldn't procreate.

Anyway for a update, we had a good laugh about it. Turns out friend 2 was literally refusing to leave while dh and friend 1 wanted to go to bed hours before. Friend 2 now barred from the house so won't happen again. Grin
As for it being boring not wanting all nighters, I did that shit all through the late 90s and 2000s probanly was a poster girl for leaving kitchen parties when the birds were tweeting... It's no longer my idea of fun.

But did you have to get up and care for kids the next day. Oh and on your own because OH was wasted 🤔

See my above comment 🥱

Yes, selfish people shouldn't procreate.

Neither should middle class wanker women who seem to have a huge problem with their DH having any kind of life outside of raising kids (I.e. the majority of posters on here) IMO. We really don't need more of you boring twats....

Missxxx · 14/09/2026 14:06

Oh and having children is the very definition of selfish in this day and age.

Wow bet your mother is proud of you and how you must value her. Part of me thinks you are probably a Mrxxx rather than a miss 🤔 That said, I think most folks should give you a "miss" as you have a very bad attitude towards women in particular 😉

lots of people! It’s not been that long since I had an all nighter and Im in my late 60s.

Good for you.
not appropriate to keep your wife awake all night who then has to get up with the children early.
wtf
