Baffy · 01/07/2008 13:40

WW thanks so much for the facebook message. It really struck a chord with me. Will write back later xx

Hope everyone else is doing ok and enjoying the sun.

ginnedup · 01/07/2008 14:26

Hi everyone.
Baffy - I feel for you so much, but I do think TFM is right. If he can't decide he wants to be with you and ds no matter what then he's not worthy of you. Glam up and go for your date on Wednesday - it will do you the world of good to be wined and dined and treated with respect, maybe give you a taste of the life you so deserve.
Dior - well done with the walking - I'm trying not to drive all week now as I am so unfit, but it is so tempting just to jump in the car and drive to work / school.
TFM - hope DP's gran is Ok.
Went to Alanon last night - now I feel chilled and ready to handle whatever (d)P throws my way!!!
... and I'm seething with at Tannee and Dior meeting up without us.

Baffy · 01/07/2008 14:32

Date is off!

Can't believe it but was talking to a different mate just before, and she was telling me how she's being messed about by some guy she's been seeing. Very long story but he sounds like an arse!

Anyway... I asked his name and it was the same name as the guy for tomorrow...

After some more questions - it's the bloody same guy!!!

Small world or what!

I texted him to ask about my friend - call her M. And he texted back - yea I've seen M a few times, nothing serious though. He's been seeing her for about a year! He just wouldn't ever commit!!

Men!

So back to the drawing board for me...

Makes my dcision whether to go a lot easier though

(BTW am not ignoring the advice. Am just far too fragile to be told off right now xx)

macdoodle · 01/07/2008 14:40

No telling off here as am exactly the same as you
Feeling bit sorry for myself as seem to have developed mastitis and feel like shite and am in work all day today
H says go home ha no chance but didn't offer to pick up girls or help at all this eve

Baffy · 01/07/2008 14:58

oh no macd that's rubbish

Could you just come straight out and ask him for help? Sounds like you could do with it xx

lilyloo · 01/07/2008 16:10

Baffy not being told off but understand you need to get your head round things
Can not believe that bloke lucky escape there then!

McD poor you , can you not get off early it may just be a blocked duct or something whilst you adjust to less feeds. I have had few of these and find feeding dd lot's helps. Also warm compress an feeding her in rugby hold helped too!
Sorry about h not really want you needed to hear can you be blunt and tell him you need him ?

HappyWoman · 01/07/2008 16:12

TFM - no not harsh - you are just a stronger type of tea-bag.

Baffy - we are not telling you off - i expect you are doing a good of that on yourself right now anyway.

Hope dior and tannee had a good lunch - the weather has been fantastic.

Dior do you think we need to make a weekend of it just because of our talking? And would we have enough to talk about all that way????? and back again.

Got some of that 5htp today and i am going to give it a go tonight - if only for the appitite supresent - although i tend not to eat too much at night anyway .

TimeForMe · 01/07/2008 16:27

Hi everyone am I still a Teabag then?

WW I have the eternity ring already, he bought me that a few years ago. I'm thinking of asking him for a dishwasher cos mine is broke

UC Well done! You have got it, distant and beautiful! I am very proud of you you know xx

Baffy, not being told off at all, just trying to help you see what you may not be able to see. You are in love with him, end of. You want him back at any cost. We, all of us, just don't want that 'cost' to be an expensive price for you to pay. But, whatever you decide we are here for you xx

HW I hope the 5htp work for you, they certainly did for me. Did you get them from where I said? They are a lot cheaper there.

DP's gran very depressed today bless her, she is just a bag of bones, it's so upsetting to see. She seems to be fading before my very eyes. But she is still lovely to chat to, she tells me some right stories We have been looking at all her photo's today, old black and white ones. Lots of memories there.

Lots of love to everyone else xxx

Baffy maybe you need to avoid the good looking blokes, put some beer goggles on and see what happens Sorry poor attempt at humour Why is it so easy to attract shit blokes - so unfair.

HW - sorry you have been feeling down. I hope the 5htp helps. It sounds interesting. Glad you were feeling brighter today

Dior and Tanee - glad you had a lovely time

McD - ouch. Mastitis v painful.

TFM - hope you get the dishwasher of your dreams

Hi to everyone else

Hi all. I think a weekend away is a great idea! We'll all come back with aching jaws and no voices left though!!
Just 'spoke' to Lilybubble on FB. She's been really busy at work and hasn't had time to come on here lately. She is fine though and will be along soon (after she has taken 6 hours to read through all the threads she's missed!!)
Well done with the diet Dior - hope it was a low fat Mr Whippy today
Glad you and Tannee had a good day, I thought of you when I was stuck at work, bored and hot!!!
Baffy - what a lucky escape!!
TFM - you old romantic, choosing a dishwasher over a diamond. At least you didn't ask him for a mincer or a freezer !!
NIght all - hope you have a good day tomorrow.

TimeForMe · 02/07/2008 07:01

Good morning everyone

I hope you are all going to enjoy the sunshine today because it's on it's way out again. Back to boots tomorrow!

Well, all is still going well here. How's you guys? I had a text from PC yesterday, dd and herself had a fab time on their adventure. They got back 'safe, sound and filthy' But she is back to the daily grind now and things are hectic at work.

Dior I hope you enjoyed your Mr Whippy! Thats not too bad calorie wise because it is full of air so nice and light. Back to your walking today though! I'm going to wear my pedometer today and see how many steps I actually do do.

Hope you are feeling better MacD. I felt sympathy pains when I read your post. I've still not had the results from my biopsies yet. I'm thinking no news is good news? It's so nice to be pain free though so I can sympathise with you.

Forgot to say the other day GU, I'm so pleased all went well at Al Anon and well done you for going!

Baffy I hope you are ok today and feeling less fragile. I hope you still feel able to post and 'talk' to us, even if we may not be saying what you want to hear. WE think the world of you and want you to be happy xx

Now I've been thinking about dishwashers. About hiring one rather than buying. I wonder if DP will allow me one of those nice tanned models, you know, the tall, dark and gorgeous ones that wear nothing but a little pinny!

Have a lovely day everyone xx

ladylush · 02/07/2008 09:29

TFM you could always get your dp to do that. Don the fake tan and the pinny, lather up the dishes and let you slap his rear end. Surely that would show you how committed he really is

Baffy - thinking of you hun. Was thinking about your dp and his midlife crisis. Was it a shock for him when his mum left his dad? Do you think that had anything to do with his affair? Not looking for excuses, just reasons. Just a theory, but was wondering if having grown up with a controlling mother your h was ok when there was order in the house, but once the family unit changed suddenly he kinda fell apart. My best friend's now husband (live in partner at the time) had a massive crisis when his mum(v controlling woman)reunited with his dad. They had been apart for about 15 years. Their reunion led to my bf and her partner breaking up for a year as he questioned the whole commitment thing. Oh and another thing, I actually think he is being very controlling but in an underhand manipulative way. He is trying to depict himself as helpless. He is not. He is making decisions. Every time he sleeps with the ow he is making decisions. Every time he tries to get back with you he is making a decision. The fact that he cannot stick to a decision is also something he is in control of. I'm not saying this is calculated, but he must be aware of it on some level. I agree with everyone else when they advise to take a big step backwards and make him accountable. This is his mess. He needs to sort it. You aren't the person who can resolve it. If he isn't man enough to do that, he ain't man enough for you.

Dior!! Massive Halo heading your way! Well done you! I am very proud of you!! How are you feeling in yourself, about yourself? I hope all of this effort you are putting in is giving you a much needed boost. Keep up the good work!

With regards to DP, even I cannot believe the change in him. We went to visit friends last night and he told them he had asked me to marry him and I had refused. Later on in the evening he put his arm around my shoulder and squeezed in close and said "don't you think we would look good in the wedding photo's" The nutter!! I like him like this though, I hope he doesn't revert back to the 'old him'.

As for slathering him fake tan and having him do the dishes He might have come a long way recently but he still has an aversion to Fairy Liquid!! Plus, as much as I love him, he doesn't really have the body for a little pinny

Dior - you're doing great. Don't dwell on how long it will take to get to your ideal weight. Try and celebrate your trousers being looser and being able to buy a smaller size in clothes. Progress

lilyloo · 02/07/2008 10:37

Morning all good to see some positivity and humour back on here

Baffy does h still suffer from depression ? Maybe this is linked to that too and your feeling/need to help him ? Hope you keep talikg to us and don't feel like we are having a go at you , honestly we are not!

Dior well done

Good news about PC , Lilybubble and TFM dishawasher

TimeForMe · 02/07/2008 10:39

I agree with LL Dior, don't let any negative thoughts creep in. YOu are doing really well, enjoy the loose trousers and be encouraged by it. And yes, you are right it is a long term thing, I think thats something we could all do with remembering really, it's not a 'diet' it's a lifestyle change. I must keep telling myself that!

No, I don't think DP is going to use my refusal as control. We all had quite a laugh about it last night. But I will be keeping my eye on the ball

TimeForMe · 02/07/2008 10:43

Hi Lily I may even take in dirty dishes for the neighbours

WilyWombat · 02/07/2008 10:54

Baffy got the FB message - glad to be of help

macdoodle - i got your message but something weird was going on - I think they were doing site maintenance or something so if you dont get the acknowlegement give me another shout!!

TFM - I am now in full paranoia after reading the thread about people putting childrens photos on FB! You know me and the paranoia

Im watching what im eating at the moment too although it does require there being no treats in the house for anyone...the thought of having to get into swimwear on holiday is filling me with horror. I EVEN resisted a Starbucks yesterday even though my head was going "Grande to take away" My goal is to tone up rather than lose weight..the whole weight thing feels like such a mountain to me whereas I have managed to tone up a bit in just a few weeks.

TimeForMe · 02/07/2008 11:08

I've not seen that thread WW, I will av a gander and see if your paranoia is justified!!

So do share WW, what steps are you taking to tone up? I've just bought that Weight Loss Coach for the DS. I'm just about to set it up. It's going to order me to do lunges and star jumps and lots of exercise. Thats when I allow it to by switching it on

Tanee58 · 02/07/2008 11:17

In answer to Dior's comment on our lunch yesterday -

I had a HELL of a time. Dior is such a hairy biker, he dragged me to this real dive of a village and a smelly, smoky pub and he made me have a HUGE 99 icecream, so big I decided to walk to work today to work it off....
