I'm sorry you're going through a hard time. Do you want to talk about it? Or talk about your day? I got 💩 on by a bird today. Right down my hair and forehead on the school run. I had just mustered up the energy to wash my hair the night before! My husband and older child laughed about it but I've been silently seething over it since it happened. It seemed to brighten up my families day that's for sure!

I’ve been so silly. I have been scammed online and lost all of my money. Me and my DH are due to go on holiday this week and I’ve not got one penny. I’m ashamed and feel like I don’t see a way out, I can’t speak to him about it he wouldn’t forgive me. I’ve let everyone down

Why cant you tell him, I get you feel bad, but the fact of scams is that they work - not your fault.
Wouldn't you DH understand that?

What was the scam?

We are already facing financial troubles. I was trying to “fix” things and now it’s all gone. He would never forgive me. I feel like packing a bag and leaving would be kinder on him

Is he not your partner in crime/life - cant you trust him enough to be there - wouldn't you do the same for him? ----

Honestly no. We have had a hard year. I feel this would be the final straw. He is already impatient with me. There’s no fool like an old fool. I feel deeply embarrassed. Thanks for speaking with me, it’s saving me being in my own head.

He still thinks we are going on holiday. I don’t know how to tell him. He deserves better

Can you say abit more about the situation - there is clearly a build up - you shouldn't feel bad for being scammed - if it didn't work it wouldn't happen to lots of people.

The holiday is paid for, but I literally can’t go. I don’t have any money even for a soft drink. I have really messed up. He has his own money, he will be fine. I was only trying to help our situation.

im not scared of him, i do walk on eggshells because of his moods. But we are getting older everyone gets a little more impatient i guess. He’s just really narky.

It might be worth talking to your bank about what's happened, to see if they can help. Is that something you could do?

I've been scammed 3 times in the last few years, and I'm of a profession that should know better!

In 2 of these scams my bank was able to rectify the situation and I got all my money back.

Can you tell us a bit about the scam?

Noone should walk on eggshells- thats not normal.

I called my bank but they are saying because I willingly sent the money then it’s my own fault basically 😭
