Is this A Thing now?? (sex-related)

Split up with exH 5 years ago and in that time I have slept with 5 men since. Out of these, 4 of them have not reached climax most or all of the times we slept together. I found it really weird. They just 'kept going' for literally hours. We would have sex for a bit then have a break / rest then more sex. But they didn't cum. Or they only came once or twice out of many times.

Is it a porn thing? One of them was quite open about his porn usage 😒

I remember back in 90s / y2k there was lots of talk of premature ejaculation but this is like the opposite of that. They just didn't seem to be able to 'finish' at all.

The only other thing I can think of is secretly taking viagra? But sometimes they'd lose their erections so I am not sure it was this.

The 5th guy, the odd one out, was very apologetic as he only lasted for about 10 / 15 mins or so but honestly it was much nicer having "normal" sex for a normal amount of time rather than some weirdly long sex marathon.

When I was married we would have sex for a normal length of time. But we stopped having sex in about 2018. So I am just wondering whether this is now the done thing!

New to me 🙄

JazzyBBBG · 13/06/2025 14:40

How old were they?

Beyondburnout · 13/06/2025 14:41

I think some single men are into recreational sex 🤔

MiloMinderbinder925 · 13/06/2025 14:42

Sounds like they're using a lot of porn. Frequently marching the penguin can result in lack of sensitivity. They may also be used to watching certain graphic content and vanilla sex doesn't do anything for them.

Usually a complete detox resets things.

It sounds like edging tbh. Basically Everytime you get close to climaxing, you stop. It feels very good with a vibrator 😂. But I've never had it with dates like it's the kinda thing you discuss in a relationship and agree to.

Did that lift you, for a few seconds, out of your miserable existence? I hope so.💞

Simply being logical. First port of call would be to look at the common factor.
Plus if a man had posted he had been with 5 women and only had achieved orgasm and asked what’s wrong with women he would be laughed out the park.

Is that what they call spite now?

TooBigForMyBoots · 13/06/2025 15:00

It's probably an age thing. Men struggle to keep erections the older they get.

I think the common denominator would be the man-opause and/or porn. Bet that stings, hence your answers 😆

user65342 · 13/06/2025 15:18

How old are the men? I have found that finding a single man in his 40’s / 50’s without some form of dysfunction is virtually impossible. Not sure why but I’m not surprised you have found the same.

bpirockin · 13/06/2025 15:18

It could be porn, it could be alcohol. The longest sessions I've ever had were with an alcoholic. Either way they're desensitised.

No, it's being called a wanker.

Five women? You're having a laugh. Men with your views don't usually get to have sex with one woman, let alone five. That's why you're bitter and on here looking for women to stick the knife into.

YRGAM · 13/06/2025 15:30

A lot of men are under the impression that women want them to keep going for literal hours, it's something that it drilled into men from the teenage years (mostly by other boys). That means many men can't understand the idea that some women often prefer men to have urgent desire for them/a more passionate or shorter intercourse phase, and they wouldn't believe it if they're told. I think this is connected to the idea of some men thinking PIV is the only part of sex that matters so it's that which has to be the 'long' bit, rather than a slower build up

How old were they?

35, 39, 41, 42 and 44. So maybe it is an age thing as my exH was mid-30's when we split up.
The one who didn't last ages was the 35 yr old.

That's a fair point. There is a happy medium IMHO 😅

Oh that's interesting about the longest sex being with an alcoholic!
I don't really drink so none of them were drinking much either, like 1 or 2 units max.

Yeah I've done edging in the past but this wasn't like something we had agreed to do beforehand or during. It just went on and on and on and on...!

Accurate on so many levels.

Zanatdy · 13/06/2025 16:15

So this was definitely the guy I was seeing for work. We once had sex for 90 mins, I mean it was fun, I was a bit drunk and fancied him a lot, but I was definitely sore every time I saw him. In his case, 100% porn use (he had been single for 5yrs as a single dad, and readily admits to using a lot of porn).

That was what I was wondering. This was just like normal / regular sex.

Don't have any kind of sex you don't want. If you don't want to be chafed senseless, bring it to a close.
