Sorry I would never be able to call any of you by your real names or I will get confused and call you it on here

HappyWoman · 04/06/2008 14:48

That has happened before too - actually it was hard in RL as we wanted to call each other our MN names .

Tanee58 · 04/06/2008 15:26

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around for a week. Have been having such fun with the filing that even MN couldn't compete . Am now planning to compile a guide on How to File - anorak or what?

Baffy, I am SOOO curious - get your quandary onto FB quick!

Dior, how are you and H now?

PC, belated Happy Birthday! Hope you and the Pink Princess enjoyed your cake. Will the chickens be sending you postcards? - I'd quite fancy a goat & chickens in reality - the goat could mow my lawn and the chickens would be fun - though between the cats and the urban foxes they wouldn't last long .

DP's play opened on Sunday & I am now the Official Company Groupie as I travelled up to the venue with them in the company van. The producer says that next year, I might even get a credit in the programme! I can recommend it - though I don't know if it's suitable for really young children. They travel all over the country so if anyone fancies it, let me know and I'll FB you the website address.

He was home for a few days, and things have been really nice again. This part time relationship seems to suit us. I'm quite looking forward to having the house back to me and DD and the cats tonight - we may even watch Big Brother tomorrow (time to rot my brain!)

Sorry guys my Board meeting ran on 'til 7 and then I've got in and am on my second glass of wine just catching up with e-mails.

YOUR all lovely!

I will go on FB now and do a quick update - sorry for the suspense! It is serious but now I've had the wine it doesn't feel quite so important!
Maybe that's the problem!!

WW you make me laugh! Did you get my e-mail reply?
I think we all had that same problem at the meet-up it was hard to know what name to call people by! Sat at the dinner table shouting "happywoman please pass me the salt" or "anniegetyourgun would you like a drink"?! We'd all get sectioned!!

Tanee glad everything's ok. Can I be a groupie too?!!

We definitely need to arrange another meet up. When and where?!

ladylush · 04/06/2008 22:48

Evening all Cheers for the job congrats. Met new manager today, but probably won't start til mid July. Really excited about leaving my current job!!

WW - your ds humour sounds similar to my ds. It's toilet humour all the way. Everything is stinky or smelly poo. If he farts he thinks it's absolutely hilarious and giggles for ages. Don't suppose that will change much once he's a man

Baffy - hope all is ok with you and that you get whatever it is sorted. Agree that you need to be careful on MN as it's easy for people to suss out who we are.

Dior - we're going to Devon too but last week of this month. Never been, but looking forward to it. Bit concerned about the erratic weather but I suppose there's time for the summer to start properly

TimeForMe · 05/06/2008 06:52

Morning ladies

Sorry I haven't been around much, been feeling rather under the weather but am pleased to say am feeling much better in myself now

Have a lovely day! xxx

Baffy · 05/06/2008 09:45

Thanks LL

Great to see you TFM I hope you're feeling much better xx

ladylush · 05/06/2008 10:22

TFM - glad you are recovering well

Baffy - did you get some helpful advice? Don't have CAT access so wouldn't be able to help.

WilyWombat · 05/06/2008 14:04

Ohh didnt realise but the your mistake annoys me too...getting worried I should be in the pedants area

ladylush · 05/06/2008 14:19

loose instead of lose annoys me

ladylush · 05/06/2008 14:20

and councelling instead of counselling

ladylush · 05/06/2008 14:20

got too much time on my hands evidently

Baffy · 05/06/2008 14:27

LL

WW I'll e-mail you in a min

(The person I mentioned is ds and he's in a little green jumper!)

TimeForMe · 05/06/2008 15:06

LL Loose instead of lose is one of mine too! It really bugs me Evidently I must have too much time on my hands too. Have you checked out the Pedants thread?

My DS is sitting his exams at the moment. In his spare time he is working on the smelliest farm ever, comes home stinking high heaven every night. I had a call from school earlier to say he hadn't arrived for his exam, he had forgotton all about it so I rang him at work and he has shot off to school in his work clothes and covered in cow muck. I know it's bad he/we overlooked the exam but I can't help but giggle at the thought of him stinking out the exam room

ladylush · 05/06/2008 15:11

Thats hilarious TFM We recycle our grass cuttings every 2 weeks (well the council collects) and the bag absolutely stinks so we have to hose it down and hang it on the line. Can imagine how much your ds must pong Does it bother him?

Pedants Corner - no I don't go. Too scared of using the wrong spelling or grammar! Used to be very adept but find myself getting rusty and lazy (used to look up a word if unsure, now just use another instead)! I have an English degree believe it or not

ladylush · 05/06/2008 15:12

See what I mean - no apostrophe in thats

TimeForMe · 05/06/2008 16:01

I know what you mean re Pedants corner, I like to pop in for a look but I daren't post. I'm a bit rusty too.

No LL it doesn't bother DS at all! Infact, he loves it! He really does stink! I just had this vision of him in a warm hall with steam coming off him

Actually I'm a bit annoyed about that exam now. It wasn't listed on his exam sheet, the teacher was supposed to give out a revised sheet but forgot!!! So I'm glad he went straight from work and I hope the smell of cow poo has got right up her nose!

Dior I gained a massive amount of weight on AD's, I gained 2 stone almost overnight! In total I put on over 3 stone which only added to my depression. I came off them and started taking St John's Wort and 5HTP and, not only did they do wonders for my depression I lost all of the weight. The 5HTP is an appetite suppressent in itself as well as a natural AD and it really does work. Why don't you have a google and see what you think?
