Good morning ladies

Just wishing you all a lovely day. It's glorious here. xxx

Baffy · 09/06/2008 09:59

TFM your ds sounds like he's turning into a wonderful young man you should be so proud

at Dior and HW having a party without us!!

Glad OSJ is ok, thanks for letting us know Dior.

Still no word from Ernest? I'll try e-mailing her.

Macd well done on standing up to him over looking after dd today. What a cheeky twunt!!
And he blamed you for the mess... does he even live on this planet?!
Good for you for sounding so strong. The more he acts like this the easier it will be for you to take those steps forward. So on the positive side, he's actually making your life easier for once!

I hope you're ok today on your first day back. Am thinking of you xx

Baffy · 09/06/2008 10:02

BTW - WW you did get the right person on FB!
I've seen your message on my e-mail but I'm in work so can't get on FB until tonight. Will write back later xx

And TFM thank you for your messages over the weekend. You're a star thinking of me with everything you have going on yourself. I hope you had a lovely weekend
Enjoy that sun today! xx

TimeForMe · 09/06/2008 10:15

Baffy, you are welcome I have had to slap my texting finger this morning to refrain from asking how you are xx

Baffy · 09/06/2008 10:29

You can text me anytime!

I'm doing ok. There isn't much news which is why I haven't texted. There's been lots of talking. But in terms of progress I'd say probably more backwards than forwards. Which I think is natural at this stage and I'm happy with things as they are.

There's some things that need to be said. And he's messing me about a bit lot. So best to say it now and then what will be will be...

WilyWombat · 09/06/2008 10:40

Hi folks

Glad I got the right person Baffy - there were two possibles but the other little chap was wearing what I would have called a "blue" top and looked a bit older than your DS

Glad I went on actually - I have also made contact with a friend I lost touch with a few years ago

TimeForMe · 09/06/2008 11:04

Well I am glad you are happy with things anyway. Also, I would totally agree that going backwards at this stage is perfectly normal, not only normal but necessary, you have to go back before you can move forwards. Keep up the good work xx

ginnedup · 09/06/2008 11:53

Hello everyone.
MacD - he's unbelievable!! Its him thats the spoilt brat, throwing his toys out of the pram when he doesn't get his own way. Glad you are standing up to him - that's the best way to deal with bullies.
Thanks HW for praying for the sun. Someone up there is obviously listening to you!!
We went to a BBQ at the local pub yesterday and I got a very sunburnt back!!
P (yes I've dropped the 'D'!) has been drinking quite a lot again - he's up to about 3 bottles of wine a night although he denies this and says I drink most of it . He's moved into a new flat now and although I feel a bit gutted, its totally for the best and we will still see each other, just on my terms.
AND ... I've fallen in love with a new little man ! We've just got a 7 week old kitten and he is just adorable (see the photos on FB!!).
HOpe you are all enjoying the lovely sun. Make the most of it while it lasts!

macdoodle · 09/06/2008 13:14

Well he came to look after DD2 and tried to act like everything is back to normal - keep looking at text to give me strength and was civil but distant....
For the first time ever in this whole mess I was worried about him being in my house - so shut down computer and passworded all my favourites (even though he is computer illiterate)...hid all our passports (his included) and the keys to the flat in Spain, hid all my solicitor stuff from before and some of the important financial stuff -
I am afraid this is going to get nasty but I just cannot be Mrs Nice Gal anymore it is driving me mad

Baffy · 09/06/2008 13:39

Good for you macd I'm so pleased you're thinking that way. As sad as it is, he really cannot be trusted at the moment and it's good that you can see it.

Who knows, he may still turn this around one day and prove himself to you. But until that day comes all you can do is protect yourself, both emotionally and financially.

xx

ginnedup · 09/06/2008 13:52

Good move MacD. Doesn't hurt to be one step ahead. Hope your first day back at work goes OK.

Baffy · 09/06/2008 14:29

Sorry to hear about P again Ginnedup

If he's refusing to acknowledge how bad it is I guess he's back to square one again.

You must be utterly worn out with it. I know I would be.

I'm glad you're enjoying seeing him on your terms though. I really do hope he can sort himself out. And soon!

ginnedup · 09/06/2008 16:16

Thats exactly it Baffy. I'm so worn out with it all. I've had the same problem for nearly 3 years now and its really time I sorted it out once and for all.
Trouble is, I still love him - even though he's a drunken p.i.t.a. at times.
We all have the same problem don't we - we love them and we hate them

TimeForMe · 09/06/2008 16:19

All I can think about today is OJ losing her Steve. Today I am thankful for my pita xx

ginnedup · 09/06/2008 16:33

Sorry TFM. I haven't been following that thread (although I have seen it on here).
Didn't mean to be insensitive

TimeForMe · 09/06/2008 16:41

GU believe me, your post was not insensitive at the side of some other threads on here lately

You sound as if you have got the right idea anyway, love him closely when he is sober and love him from a distance when he's not, perfect balance! At least that way he doesn't drag you down with him. Do you know how far you have come since we 'met'? You even look different, much happier and younger (if you don't mind my saying) I notice a change in you each time you change your FB pic

Oh TFM - I have to admit that the latest pic of me is very airbrushed My uncle is a photographer and was trying out a new computer programme that airbrushes his professional photos. I really wish I looked that good in RL!!!
Still, I'm getting quite a lot of interest on the Social Me application (albeit from some very odd looking men!!)

TimeForMe · 09/06/2008 17:03

gosh yes! Talk about odd looking men, I'm glad it's not just me who gets em'

Airbrushed or not, you look fab!

HappyWoman · 10/06/2008 08:44

Hi everyone

Sorry havent been around computer only seems to work if i am sitting on top of the wireless thingy.
Thanks everyone for praying for that sunshine - it left it til the last minute though - but we had a great afternoon - and in fact it was a bit too hot. It was lovely to see Dior here - she should never feel inferior to her H, he should be proud of the georgous wife and Ds he has - and you can tell him i said that!!!!!

McD - I remember feeling scared of H being in the house too and did what you are doing - I changed my passwords on computer and he phoned up to ask what it was as DD wanted to use it we had a main faimily computer too that the DCs use. He got very cross at the time.
Keep those texts and tell him you have shown the solicitor and it is good grounds for unreasonable behaviour.

He is blaming you because he is not prepared to admit it to himself - it is easier to blame others - i think it is called projection of guilt.

Good luck with the appointment though.

Sorry havent read whole missed posts but will try and catch up later. Out all day today making the most of the weather - taking DD to farm.

Baffy · 10/06/2008 11:54

So sad about Jo losing Steve isn't it
Makes me realise that life really is too short and we have to make the best of whatever it throws at us. As long as we're happy, and making those around us happy, we can't do much more.

Lets hope our men can learn that one day too!

I bumped into SG at the shops last night. As I walked out she was passing me in her car. I tried to blank her but she pulled up right in front of me, (cheeky cow!) looked me up and down and then gave a sort of snigger as if to say I'm pathetic. IYKWIM.

I was literally shaking. I couldn't eat any tea and ended up in bed by 8 o clock.

How can one person stir up so many emotions just by driving past you!

Have to say it's put me about 400 steps back with H. I can't see her ever being out of our lives. She lives 2 roads away from me FGS!

I hate him for doing this to me. You know how much I love him. But I swear I don't know whether it's love or hate that's winning at the moment. How do you get past something like this. As much as I want to. I just can't see it happening, I really can't.

Baffy · 10/06/2008 11:56

By the way GU, you do look that good in RL. You're absolutely gorgeous!
Don't tell anyone about the airbrushing ever again and just say 'thank you'

ladylush · 10/06/2008 12:07

Bet you felt like punching her Baffy

G.U - sorry your dp is drinking too much again

Macdoodle - stay strong hun

HW thanks for the lovely sunshine

Hi to everyone else I'm off sick today with a nasty bout of cystitis. It started at 9pm last night and within mins was excruciating and I was actually bleeding (sorry if tmi). Had to call out the out of hours dr for anti-biotics at 1pm this morning. OTC rememdies didn't work and it was getting worse. Couldn't go to A+E as would never have made it (constantly sitting on the loo).
